Sensei this is exactly what I was looki mg for! I can see the blend of pummeling, to Bunkai kata applications in a pressure tested manner. Similar to pummeling from MT & Wrestling. This must be what you where talking about. I’ve never seen a flow drill that’s allows for Bunkai freestyle drill that actually has resistance and variables. Thank yiu again Sensei!

Glad it was helpful! Freestyle flow drills are one great way to help your sparring and build attributes for self-defense. It’s the spontaneity that is drilled that often is missed with prescribed and prescriptive technical training. You are correct, a lot of inspiration was pulled from Muay Thai, wrestling and jujitsu … Glad you enjoyed it. Have a fantastic day.!

Nice! I did MT and BJJ for 8 years and now am trying a Goju Ryu program. I have noticed many karate practitioners don't get off the ground in a very efficient manner, which a technical stand up teaches so you stand back up in base and not expose yourself while standing.

Great point Scott! The value of crosstraining is direct and applicable. I am glad you have found value in my video. I’m continuously trying to find effective ways to develop my health and technical and tactical approaches.
