Thanks Clarence. I find them ok but I'm a fair weather rider! I've seen one video where the rider swapped the front one and reinstalled the other way around (pointing backward).

@@cei super73 replied to an email saying that they are working on better fenders. So I hope they push through. Meanwhile my bafang throttle is in and works like a charm!

I’m thinking of getting one for one for a round trip to work of about 12 miles, i gather you recommend this bike. Great review

In your video you said the throttle still worked with the pedal assist, does that mean you have switch on the off road mode first?

you are able to use a throttle on the z1 but you also need to change the controller located inside the seat to unlock the speed and allow the throttle to work its quite easy but will run you around £100 search up z1 throttle conversion or I can provide a link. keep in mind this only apply to the ZG not Z1 which is the US version

Hi great video. Will this throttle work with the zx model? Also some people are saying that i can't access unlimited mode in the UK until I buy the offroad package with the handle bars etc. Have super73 charged their software or would just getting a throttle still work? Many thanks

I don't know about ZX but it works on the S2. I see the same throttle on eBay saying it works on the ZX but I cannot personally confirm that.

Hello sir, great videos! I follow the tips you mentioned here and bought and connected the Throttle then out to test... The throttle works but if I use the pedals, then the throttle stops working and pedalling is super hard, I have to stop the biz and restart the throttling. Do you have any idea how to fix this? Strange. If you touch the brakes the pedal assist stops, so check that. Also I keep mine off the app once level 4 is engaged and it is set to off-road.

🙄I whas wondering if its possible to combine a bafang mid engine with the engine that comes on the Super 73 R series and run them on 1 throttle simultaneously would this be possible ???🤗

Hey Hafsa, congrats on the new toy! Sorry to hear you are having trouble. Did you connect it to the loose yellow cord that came bundled with the spare indicator cords, not the display screen cord?

Hey thread! Getting my S2 soon, this video was instrumental in convincing me that a 3rd party throttle would work on all EU bikes, by the looks of this thread I’m mistaken… It seems some of you are having no joy with the throttle suggested an Amazon with your bikes, Does anybody have any information on whether EU bikes apart from this lucky chap are software coded to not work with a throttle? It doesn’t seem to be any software that comes with the off-road pack sold direct from super 73, no code to make a photo work is that correct? Because if it is they should all work with a throttle right?

Thanks Simon, I can't explain why others have had trouble. Make sure the app setting is on unlimited and use the spare yellow with it. I took the gamble as the Amazon one was only £20 so I thought give it a go and if it doesn't work then cheap mistake.

he can just say it's for offroad use only, and if he's stopped, just open his app, switch to mode 1, throttle no longer works and speed is limited to UK spec

May I ask whats your height? I am interested in the S2 as well, but I am very tall and the bike might not fit, I fear. Didn´t have a chance to test ride it.

I don't know for sure but I assume so as it's the same motor.

Does using a 3rd party throttle damage the battery and voids your warranty?

No damage to the battery as far as I can tell. It's a standard technology. Super73 just try to charge more for their version. As for warranty, what throttle?

I have an Android too. I just used an iPad to unlock and it's been all good since then. I think it resets if you connect the app but I do not

You weren’t worried about voiding you’re warranty by using the third party throttle. Which they’ve confirmed you will do . This was my worry with an expensive bike .

@@cei I think you’ll be ok . After chatting with some ebike builders they assure me that there isn’t any way to detect that a non official throttle has been used . Enjoy dude 👊

I've just received my S2 and beforehand I ordered a thumb throttle in advance. I went for a different one on Amazon as it looked the same, some of the reviews claimed it worked with Super73's, is cheaper and had a quicker delivery. I've just given it a try and it works, yay! The one I ordered is www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B081ZLPWVR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have upgraded the firmware to the latest version and it's still working. I can confirm that it will reset to mode 1 every time you power off.

@@cei Thank you for the videos, they've been really helpful! I have found handlebar space is a little limited. I found the throttle a little cramped on the right next to the gears. So, I mounted my throttle next to the left hand grip and moved the controller to the centre bar, I figured that will have least use. The horn has been pushed across to where the bar starts to bend round so not ideal.I've only had a few minutes on the bike so far so will see how that arrangement works out.
