It seems like the villains in this line are all 10s and the actual Thundercats are coming up short....like 5 and 6s. I hope their GI Joe Ultimates line is better. It HAS to be!!

You're exactly right! MummRa, Slithe, and Monkian aren't just the best Thundercats figures, but probably some of the best figures Super7 has ever made! The Thundercats themselves have really been bad. Personally I'm hoping for great Power Rangers monsters and better character selection for TMNT

I also became a huge Thundercats fan at a young age and I also remember it being phased out with TMNT exploding in popularity. I probably saw more of that than Thundercats because I was actually born after Thundercats first came on TV. I liked both when I was a kid and still do now but watching them as an adult, I do actually think that Thundercats aged better. Having said that, I can see what the huge commercial appeal was with TMNT. MMPR had a similar impact and appeal when that came along. Btw, I was also mad with Mattel and Bandai too.

the Bandai thundercats classics was a disgrace, 50% cartoon accurate...!! Those Lion-o and Tygra faces looked ugly and horrendous

@@LordFokker1987 Ultimately, it was a disgrace. The Tygra was very ugly but I didn't think Lion-O was. However, his 6 inch version was ugly. That line was handled so poorly. The classic Mumm-Ra was terrible too. It's not as bad when you add a custom cape to it but without that, it's crap.

@@Super1866 Well Super 7 have already teased with a photo of upcoming Mumm-ra The Ever Living variant which will match the colors of his LJN counter part! So far only his arm painted the correct color the greenish/gray with a sword in hand and his brace knuckle is black on his arm just like the original action figure are shown in the photo! I guess we have wait for the full reveal! My question is will this variant Mumm-ra The Ever Living have the classic red glowing eyes? 🤔🙄🤗😮

Yo. That other item Mumm-Ra comes with is the regulator for The Mighty Gyroscope.

@@comix1017 I was nervous too..but I have a 2nd on preorder..but it has a slight swivels under the bicep which means it can spin at that joint but not for articulation functions..you have to keep the arm straight to do it..it must clear the plastic to go all the way around…it was driving me crazy every time I saw the arm..it Evan effected the hand movement do to the point at the wrist so I took a chance and spun it around…if it makes you nervous don’t attempt it…just thought I would let you know

No he did, I show it in the video. It just took some work getting it on him so I didn't show that part. Pics with his cape are on my Instagram page

i know. i’m saying the straps on his left arm should be painted dark blue to match the dark blue on the tops of the boots. they got this wrong. the super7 reaction tygra has it right

I have a suggestion for Tygra's elbow pad. What about a blue elbow pad from an old WWF Jakks Kurt Angle figure? It won't be perfect but it is an elbow pad that you can slide on which is the right colour. It is better than him having an exposed arm. It saves having to wait in frustration until Super7 actually address it.

@@comix1017 Quite rightly so. I did see a post about that but I don't know if it comes in blue or if it has to be painted. I don't want to have to do that and for all I know, it could be too fragile or brittle. I'm also thinking that it's probably from a US website so I don't know if it ships worldwide and even if it did, I would probably charged extra for shipping. If people have to resort to such a strange an obscure purchase to correct a figure we've overpaid for, then waited 2 and a half years for, then that is beyond a joke. It should have been done correctly in the first place. Even cheaper versions of Tygra included the elbow pad like Funko Savage world, Bandai and LJN, with the latter being a figure that is nearly 40 years old.

I think they don't care anymore, they keep pushing waves and preorders. I buy their stuff because they are the only guys doing this franchises. But they don't update the body since classics. Is a bummer.

Their QC is horrendous. I’ve had issues with every single one I own. Main problems are loose joints and terrible paint slop.

That stinks! I haven't had hardly any problems with Super7 figures in the past, I've just been lucky because I've seen plenty of complaints. The problems with Tygra are totally inexcusable

@@comix1017 yea, especially having been delayed for so long. Their stuff isn’t great at all. It’s all over priced considering what you’re getting. These are suppose to be boutique item but their quality is more like cheap, brick and mortar product. Mattycollector Thundercats had better paint jobs and used a nice matte paint. Super7 stuff looks glossy and cheap. I will say this. Slithe came out good. Probably the best of the line. Their using bucks that are 14 years old and hav horrendous articulation. None can even get a 90 degree bend at the joints. Bigger deluxe figures are even worse.

For the price the least I expect is show accurate figures, and these aren't. Tygra's elbow pad thing is inexcusable, and the shoulders are too stooped. The open mouth Mumm-ra head should have some translucent plastic resembling mucus. Monkian has several things to complain about, but people praise it as it was perfect, maybe they're not familiar with the show. Vultureman seems to be going to be WAY too tall and mess the look of the mutant team. On a side note, Grune is one of my favorite characters. You can't go wrong with a powerful Thundercat turned villain.

@@heroesytumbas Have you tried just leaving them outside in direct sunlight? I did that after someone suggested it for some vintage TMNT figures and it actually worked!

@@comix1017 yes I tried the peroxide and sunlight to remove the yellowing from a Skeletor figure, but the stickiness seems to be unsolvable, all you can do is wash it but it'll come back.

@@heroesytumbas aw dang... I dunno how just leaving the tmnt figures outside in the sun worked, but it definitely made the weird stickiness go away. I dunno if it came back, haven't messed with the figures since doing it

Tygra sculpture is okay , the odds are its orange colour is too bright, his missing the elbow pad, the strip on his left arm should the same blue as.the blue on his boots , his knees don't bend it goes maybe till 30 degrees, his thighs don't bend much also. Then that said he probably won't fit in the Thundertank. Super7 should re-make this figure. And Mumm-Ra in the cartoon is grey not blue.

I totally prefer the second head on Mumm-Ra. I would bet that most who bought the figure will swap the head out straight away.

@@comix1017 That's how I'm going to display mine. I actually wish that Pumm-Ra had been a real character as opposed to one that Mumm-Ra made up for the purpose of a disguise. On the subject of MOTU, that was actually a bit early for me and I don't rate the original show by Filmation. However, I do like it as a franchise and I did get into it but to the same extent as Thundercats. I liked the 2002 MOTU which was accompanied by a pretty cool toyline. I also found the MOTUC line fun to collect. I missed out on the original MOTU toys but did get the LJN Thundercats ones. There were some cool character designs in MOTU. I often imagined it crossing over with Thundercats. I always thought that MOTU looked way better in books and comics than in the original show. When I was a kid, The New Adventures Of He-Man where he's in space used to come on TV quite a bit. I watched it but only really had a casual interest in it. The movie was a bit hammy but Ikinda liked it. As far as 80's cartoons go, Thundercats was way better than MOTU in my opinion, despite MOTU being a bigger franchise.

@@Super1866 I only ever liked the look of the villains in He-Man, loved Skeletor and the Mer-Man and Stinkor toys. I just had the Thundercats fight the MOTU toys that I had as a kid, Thundercats were way more interesting to me. Then Ninja Turtles hit and I forgot about all of my other toys haha

@@comix1017 I agree about the villains. I liked the design of He-Man but I always liked the villain designs more. Beast Man is a character design that I've always liked. He reminds me of Monkian with colours similar to Jackalman, almost like a hybrid of the two, even though he was created first. Thundercats interested me a lot more too and TMNT was very good at selling toys. It was a similar story with MMPR. They were both toys that everyone seemed to want, including myself. I think it was the whole ninja and martial arts thing. Every kid wished they could do what those characters could do. I like that there is an element of that with Panthro but as a kid, I didn't notice it as much. I just thought of him as braun but I picked up on more things when going back and watching the show again. Plus, I was able to watch every episode. I'm in the UK which meant that when Thundercats was on TV, any scene with Panthro using nunchucks was cut out. It was the same with Michelangelo in TMNT. They wouldn't show nunchucks on a TV show for kids in the UK. I didn't even know what they were. With the vintage figures, I wondered what their weapons were supposed to be. Obviously none of that is cut on the dvds.

I guess we'll never know?🤔🤗🤨🦁P.S. I got Mumm-ra The Ever Living and Tygra Ultimate's from a seller on Ebay! Albeit prices were slightly inflated.

I did, I never had the original figure and I've never been a fan of Grune. I kinda talked about it in the video, lol. But after seeing other pics and reviews, I'm kinda glad I didn't spend money on him

@@comix1017 Ah ok. I didn't catch that bit. I got distracted a few times while the vid was on. I pre-ordered Grune because he is actually a favourite of mine and I also have the original figure. The first episode he appears in is one of my favourites. He's also the main antagonist to that silly old fool Jaga XD. I jest but he did kinda destroy Thundera, by mistake of course, but still, nice job, old fruit. I wanted to get a more accurate looking Grune figure. However, some of what I've seen so far concerns me. I really hope that the looseness of the hips isn't going to be as bad as I think it is.

@@comix1017 I've now heard what you said about Grune. Yeah, it's a fair comment but I think for some, that is what makes Grune interesting. Darth Vader is both an interesting and popular character for the same reason. The Jaga and Grune friendship/partnership, with Grune ultimately turning bad reminds a little bit of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. Berbils also remind me of Ewoks. Btw, I'm also a Green and White Ranger fan, particularly Green Ranger. I passed on Pumyra because both versions of her are wrong. Captain Cracker is another one that I passed on. I'd love to see Mongor.

@@Super1866 Awesome! Love Green Ranger and Dragonzord, I get pretty much everything I see of those guys! The difference is Vader was redeemed, a huge epic moment of redemption for him. Grune remained an a-hole lol. Mongor would be awesome, but I think the villains I'm mostly wanted are Ratar-O and Safari Joe

@@comix1017 Yes, I also like the Dragonzord. You're right about Vader and there is more to his story than Grune. Grune isn't a main character in the way that Vader was but a good guy going bad is something that happens and it's something different to a character who we've only ever seen as evil. It explores their history a little more and it's a transition. I also liked that he was a formidable opponent. I want Ratar-O and Safari Joe too. I hope Ratar-O is in the next wave because I see him as part of the Mutant team even though he wasn't around as much. He's also more formidable than the others. I would also like to see a figure of one of Slithe's reptilians.

Bro Super 7 Lion-O from wave 1 is exactly the same as the mattel one, It has a few more accesories, better short sword and I think the emblem of the sword has a better paint job. It comes with a pair of cartoon accurate clawshield like not fur glossy ones, and that's it. The red lion-o is the same but pinless.

how is it the same when you literally just described differences? Just the body of the figure is the same mold yes, but the paint and head sculpts are definitely different

@@comix1017 what I mean is that the figure itself from wave 1 is the same(same figure, same paintjob) the difference is in the accessories I mentioned. The red lion-o for the body is exactly the same sculpt but pinless, but the overall look is the same. It has a new head sculpt (angry) and some accessories that would fit in the regular one though, but for me is not enough to justify the buy, maybe for you as a customizer, could get a fresh and pinless regular lion-o, that would be cool. The skin tone could be more cartoony but the stoic headsculpt looks quite the same as the wave 1.

Just got mine today! Didn't even know it had shipped. After 2 years I'd almost given up hope hope. I saw this big box, and I was like WTH? As soon as I saw Super7 I lost my sh**! Mumm-ra looks great, but Tygra is so disappointing. He looks and feels so cheap. A lot of people are hung up on the blue, but I like that as it reminds me of the vintage one. The dark orange and dark flesh color are what bugs me, especially on the feet. It's growing on me, because at least I finally have a Tygra in my hands, but considering the price + 2 1/2 year wait it's a little frustrating, especially when the figure is so drastically different from what was shown back when I pre-ordered the thing. Makes me nervous about ordering from Super7 in the future as this isn't the quality I thought I was paying for.

I absolutely 100% agree with everything you said. I guess I got lucky that my Tygra is a bit better than what I've seen in other people's pics and reviews. But we definitely deserved better after waiting so long, Super7 needs to send all of us an elbow pad and a Tygra head with glowing eyes

haha LOOOOL Tygra is drastically differente than the prototype? haha just the blue tone was off and the new color is more accurate, the only difference is the absent of the elbow pad and the dark orange color, but DRASTICALLY?? SUPER7 did change the body sculpt? did super7 gave us another face sculpt DRASTICALLY modified? nope and nope!! dont buy it ....period
