What makes the difference with the tweeters are the horns. For example a normal car hooter without a horn makes a "beep, beep" sound. Once you place a horn over it, the sound changes completely to that of a horn (pom pom) sound (BMW horn). The same applies with tweeters. The super tweeters have little horns. If those horns where larger it would sound better.

Ps good to see you back I thought you had chucked it in hadn't seen any new content for while and always enjoyed your videos. I just found them relaxing and your enthusiasm to show people different products was just genuine.

That can be quite the rabbit hole...maby in combination with horn shape or wave guide sizes and shapes affect sound as well

I think the pioneer pro audio speakers are really nice for the price and probably best bang for buck for someone like me who's had all kickers component and coax and blown them all at different times trying to keep up with my subs and the gains are set properly

@@fuckgoogleandyou8779 they are set according to jl audio manuals and videos bro if it's clean power they should be able to cope with playing a fair way over rated power too, the jl HD 600/4 is 150rms at any ohm load from 4 to 1 ohm and will sustain that power down to 9 volts its super regulated power supply I don't run it at 9 volts don't stress 😂 but its not getting distortion best of my knowledge, yet tweeters are blowing while mid base survives and vice versa the ks series coax and components are very efficient but they are also high rated power 100wrms 200 peak now we all know they are never getting the full 150wrms from the jl unless its playing a test tone it doesn't happen with music my gains are set using a volt meter and a 0db track by jl audio which is exactly how they suggest you set it, think it was 25 volts ac at 1k for speakers and 67 vac for 1200w on subs hd 1200/1 which are prefect match to a prefab rockford dual p3 4ohm box rated at 1200 w that have stood up to a couple of years of total abuse and yes I have over driven those and they don't flinch or smell even EVER, yet the kicker have shit themselves multiple times im not A total rookie. Only thing I don't have is an oscilloscope to check exact clipping points but the voltage is bang on jls recommendation as possible I even use replaygain on my music player before sending the audio out to the head unit make sure all tracks are played at 0 DB to match the gain setting track, as some are much louder than others, I probably have overlap of 3 - 5 db max would be my guess as the kenwood head unit is set to 30 out of 40 when doing the gains as jl also recommends even through all kenwood head units pre outs are clean to full tilt with all eq flat, sub level at 0 and no audio enhancements on which is how I leave it at all times. The only possible answer is water may have go into the voice coils at some point although I have silicone door pods to keep water off anything and no signs of rust anywhere. Might have to go pro audio instead of trying to get a bit of sq and spl at the same time. Not keen on mounting those massive tweeters but lol even though they actually sound pretty nice a smooth some of them.

Can you test the hertz spl show/neo vs Arnolds ?

In this video the regular tweeters sounded louder Imo.. of course it's probably totally different sounding in person. It's just kinda hard to get a good idea of sound quality listing over a mic. Still though I appreciate your info and opportunity opinions on these speakers. Thanks for the videos.

he didnt use the same value caps for all tweeters . that is the reason of the volume difference .

How about testing cerwin vega ph 694. The sensitivity of those things are crazy

Hi mike I have seen a lot ur videos I have bought 2 sets Orion 8” midrange also bought the JBL 6by9 and 6by8 I changed out the JBL 6by9 and 6by8 s to the 8” Orion midrange and went with the BZRK tweeters they look very good but some reason they are no where near what the JBL tweeters are the BZRK the sound is a lot lower than the other ones I have Rockford fostgate amplifier I don’t know if I may have got a set is not good or what I’m just going get another set of the JBL like I have in the front door I enjoy ur channel thanks on ur videos just was letting u know the BZRK tweeters I got they was not that good for me like I said not sure if something could be wrong with these or not thanks

I took the filter off after I seen it wasn’t playing that good I also have a 2 way crossover by audio pipe but yes I took the filter off they was just little bit better but not what I was thinking the JBL s they are very good in the front

I have some of those cheap Alpines and they are actually really good.

You keep saying burn them.. do they catch on fire or melt? Lol they blow because they play are too distorted (clipping) or cause they are playing a frequency that is too low.

My 4" pioneers are 106db sensitivity 200 RMS

I don't like the way super tweeters sound. Louder is not necessarily better

It's unfortunate that these supertweeters won't fit into my cardoor.

Anything can fit, you just need to learn how to modify it to fit

My exp is pioneer is safe and hard to blow, its hit miss with some of these brands..I’d stay away from kicker because these have a bland output but they will blow you ears..Infiniti very clean but will blow out and for that reason it will only buy infinity in component only ( kappa or perfect ) also I recommend you mix your brands for optimum output ie; Infiniti for door speakers only and jbl for mid bass or pioneer. but the rabbit hole gets deeper and costlier
