The crown throw from the original Donkey Kong Country, all the characters jumping on his head (how you did damage to him in Country), Kaptain K. Rool from Diddy's Kong Quest, the helicopter backpack from Dixie Kong's Double Trouble, the Fortress Laser from DK64, as well as the boxing glove from DK64's amazing final boss fight AND that fire Gangplank Galleon remix. THIS is how you bring a villain back from the dead.

This may sound weird, but in every DK game except DK64(as a boxer), we don't see him actually walk or run. he's either jumping around, standing still or using a machine to fly over. A real crocodile, of course, walks and runs on four, so that's fair

Alpineer Mega Man is a much more popular and iconic character than K Rool, and was a third party character people initially didn’t expect to have a chance. It was so hype at the time. I do really like K Rool too but Mega Man’s inclusion was really important

It’s confirmed that Duck Hunt Dog was only added in the game to pull off the sequel to this reveal. Amazing.

1:29 this whole cinematic is so epic cause it’s the clashing of a long time hero and his long time rival coming back. Here’s hoping this means that King K Rool will be the villain of the next DK country game

True but Castlevania fanbase done really well considering its retro series and the awful PeeStation games that almost totally dishonored the series with it's sexed-up 'mature' movie-savvy cheese stance. So glad Sakurai totally 2-fingered that and honored the retro Belmonts!!

I think the fact that this one is just punchier helps. It's very rewatchable. The Castlevania one was hype building on the reveal, and boy did it build our hype, but it's slower and not quite as peppy as this one.

The reveals they were making for smash at the time. Man, you just had to be there.

I love how they portray their rivalry here. It's so intense that even K.Rool practically goes feral and runs on all fours.

I've only played the first DKC on my GameBoy Color. I'm not even a fan of DK, but geez, I love this trailer. It gaves me goosebumps and I can feel all the love that has been put in it.

If you don't have the system you could probably emulate them, I don't know how though. DKC Returns is hard as hell but a lot of fun and tropical freeze is a must! DKC 2 is probably my least favorite, but they're all pretty good in my opinion.

This is what Smash can achieve. A character who was completely forgotten about gets revealed, and everyone goes ape(pun intended). His remix got 10 million views and he instantly became a fan favourite. God I love Smash.

A year ago today, we all shed a tear. A year ago today, history was made.

Now this is King K Rool's finest hour the only way that would make this hour is even finer for him is if the next Donkey Kong Country will have him return as the Main Antagonist under the title (Donkey Country Return of the Kremlings)

DarkDragonGod 64 i'm going to main pichu, and i guess that my secondary is going to be young link and lucina (shadow if he make it in ultimate as a character, even if as an echo fighter)

Man, Nintendo has really stepped up their game with this reveal trailer. I don't think any other reveal was quite as enthralling as this one...maybe the Ridley reveal, but it's perfect that more villains/rivals are showing up in Smash 5. Also I'm glad he isn't an echo of Bowser or something silly like that.
