Noah Armitage That skeleton was the personification of Death itself, Draculas right hand man, Death and Dracula are the most powerful characters in the game besides the Belmonts, their powers are God like. Luigi is no match for them, get serious. It takes a Belmont 2 fight them.

Bruh I now what to see a new Castlevania game that has the visuals of this reveal trailer and a simalur gameplay to the original nes/snes games... It's sad that now days Konami only cares about makeing pachinko machines and new YuGiOh cards

You know what I absolutely love about Richter Belmont? The fact that he was introduced back in the early 90s, and he is still very arguably the best Belmont ever conceived.

Nintendo put so much more love for Castlevania into this two minute trailer than Konami has in years. Some things though had to be kinda toned down like Richter couldn't say "Die Monster! You don't belong in this world" but instead "Begone! You don't belong in this world, monster." but hey I'll take it. The cinematics are really, really badass and quite edgy.

The darker shift in tonality has really surprised me along with a lot of other parts of this game. The whole design philosophy is different, and I haven’t seen anyone complaining. Kudos to Nintendo on everything so far

Everything about this reveal is so good, the characters, the music, everything. And Simon himself is insane in this game

I can already see how the final boss will play out. Richter: "Die monster! You don't belong in this world!" Galeem: "It was not by my hand I was once again given flesh. I was called here by Sakurai, who wished to pay me tribute." Richter: "Tribute?! You steal mens spirits, and make them your slaves!" Galeem: "Perhaps the same could be said of all fighters..." Richter: "Your words are as empty as your soul! Mankind ill needs a savior such as you." Galeem: "What is a man?! A miserable pile of smashes! But enough talk, HAVE AT YOU!!"

I love that they chose Richters design from RoB, not that I dislike his DxC design, but his RoB design is my personal favorite. I love even more that they stayed faithful to his theme and didn't butcher it up in some way shape or form remixing or arranging it. 👍

I love how the mummy just stops in its tracks after Luigi shoots a plunger at him. Like he's reevaluating all his life's decisions at that exact moment. "I'm undead with a plunger on my face shot by an Italian plumber, I've officially hit rock bottom."

Ahmet Soner Macun Richter theme

Does anyone else notice how in every newcomer direct that at least one person has to PHYSICALLY DIE? In Ridley's, Megaman got impaled and Mario got his neck basically twisted. In Simon's, luigi literally dies in front of us due to the Grim Reaper In K rool's, King DeDeDe basically gets clawed in the freaking face and flies away. he isnt ever seen again in the trailer so we can probably assume hes dead too Hmm, is there some sort of satanic ritual to get into smash where someone has to freaking die?

I love how they pg-13'd Ricthers iconic saying "-die- begone monster, you don't belong in this world!"

That was dark as shit. Loved how Nintendo were saying before Bayonetta was added in the previous Smash that they said "were not gonna add any adult characters or adult themed stuff" but then puts in Bayonetta, Ryu, Cloud and now the darkest of all this crap 😂 Luigi didn't deserve this

Well, looking at the designs of the characters, it seems they're drawing mostly from the original NES Castlevania which was almost the most E-rated game in the Castlevania series. Heck, that game stems from the days when video games were still considered toys and "adult video games" was almost considered a contradiction in terms.

Oh God, yeah! I loved how Simon did not said a single word in the trailer, his reveal was just perfect. Vempire Hunter starts playing and he's throwing cross with loud "HAH!". Most fanservicy and badass moment I ever saw, or at least one of the top 10. And then when Simon is about to get rekt Richter comes in with classic line! So PERFECT.

Poor Luigi his so innocent!

At least with Luigi, he can return his soul into his body. King Dedede looked like he just got knocked out, and he received worse from Kirby. Mario and Megaman though are good as dead.

It's also his classic look from the NES box art of Castlevania. Also glad they went with Simon's classic design and not the redhead "pretty boy" Simon incarnation cause Richter is already the definitive "hot pretty boy" Belmont anyway and Simon represents the more "muscular strongman" side of the Belmont clan.

Let's all remember that Simon Belmont was in the first Castlevania game. And while half the roster theme is a little anime, that's only asking for non-anime characters to be added. Also, Smash having Japanese workers doesn't mean that each character HAS to look like conventional anime. And contrary to the people who've never played any Castlevania game prior to SotN, Simon is one of the most memorable characters of that franchise (I even wanted Nintendo to add _that_ specific Belmont for being the first guy to come to mind when thinking about those games (mainly for Super CV IV being my favorite)).

Now all we need is Captain N The Game Master. Especially not a "Mii costume" since that wouldn't look like him or have all of his powers.

Castlevania totally deserves a place. Among Metroid, both are classics and extremely influential, and as a fan of Metroidvania it's nice to see Ridley and Shovel Knight (even as an Assist Trophy). About the constant topic of new characters every on comment session, I guess I'm the part that does not really cares about Waluigi. Neku Sakuraba and Decidueye would do better fighters and cooler movesets, but unfortunately the odds of these two joining are really low.

Josh Kellar Not exactly true. Richter makes some sense considering he appeared in Castlevania Dracula X on the SNES, which was a port of Rondo of Blood (though very different from Rondo of Blood in level design and some other aspects.) And we already have some non-Nintendo Smash fighters, so it really doesn't matter at this point. Cloud, Snake, Ryu, and now Simon Belmont (who honestly should've been in a long time ago, he's too damn iconic!).

Yesterday, I finished Castlevania season 2 and I'm Satisfied that the series had an awesome continuation and that the Castlevania Hype doesn't end on Oct 26th, it continues until Dec 7th!
