The thing this Mario Party needs the most in my opinion is a fast paced board experience much like Superstars. Otherwise, Jamboree will probably be on par with Super where it's quality comes from it's extra modes.

I 100% agree! We need board play to be much more fast paced. This game seems to be a blend of the best features from Super and Superstars so I'm hoping board play acceleration is real here!

​​@@GWallPro Also wanted to tell you if you compare all of the boards here to Super and Superstars, Jamboree's is much bigger than those two. So I wouldn't worry about this part.

Online is confirmed to launch alongside the game itself, similar to Superstars. And it's true online, not just a selection of minigames like Super had at launch.

I have one thing I would like to add to the list. Allow local players (2 players locally) to play online without needing to be friends with others! I was dissapointed when I couldn't play online with my mom in Superstars, as I needed to be friends with others to start the room. I want the idea from Mario Wonder, where 2 people locally could play online, just with a 2 next to the player 2's name. For example: Postalite and Postalite2 I want this feature to come to Jamboree, just instead it can be two different usernames. So instead of being Postalite and Postalite2, it'd be (the player 2 username will be changed for personal reasons, as I don't wanna show my moms name) Postalite and Nitelite. Unsure if this made sense, it made sense in my head.

I completely get what you mean. Kinda like Mario Kart 8 with bringing a local guest online to play. That could definitely be cool!

Alright, I'm going to share my thoughts. *SPOILERS* 10. It's basically confirmed, so I won't have too much to say regarding it. 9. They did say the motion control minigames will be disabled if you're NOT using a single Joy-Con, but I still hope that the motion control minigames ARE going to be intuitive (in fact, my main problem with Mario Party 8 on the Wii was exactly because the minigames that use motion aren't very smooth). 8. Pretty self-explanatory, so I won't have too much to say here. I just hope the soundtrack will be good. 7. In all honesty, I don't think they will come back. With at least 21 characters confirmed, they would have to make up at least 210 team names (yes, I did the math)! That doesn't even take into consideration that this game will support various different languages (Japanese, French, Spanish, etc.). So, it doesn't seem to be worth it. I WILL say however, that a team mode will be cool, though I still don't really think it will happen. 6. I WOULD like to an Autoplay Mode come, but considering neither Super nor Superstars had it, I don't think Jamboree will have it. An Online Lobby feature though would be AMAZING. It probably won't happen, but if it does, then I will be SO HAPPY!!! 5. As someone who has recently been watching a 24/7 stream series just about Amiibos fighting in SSBU, I would really like to see that. Sadly, I feel that this feature won't come because the Amiibo fad is basically gone. 4. Like the Autoplay Mode, I would like to see it, but it probably won't happen (much less in the style of the GameCube/Wii Mario Parties). Super did TECHNICALLY have a Solo Mode, but it was just playing through all the minigames. 3. Another self-explanatory one, though I do want to go on a little tangent. Wouldn't it be cool to create custom minigame sets for Party Mode? It was a feature in Mario Party 4... and ONLY Mario Party 4. 1 (I'm skipping 2 for now). I'll probably just use Luigi for the most part (because he is Luigi, number one), but yeah, more characters would be cool. Speaking of characters, I hope they DON'T add in character exclusive attributes because that could end up nullifying almost all of the cast. 2. Okay, I've got a ton of things to say related to this, so here we go. *Inhales* I think Superstars was a good improvement over Super in terms of mechanics. Though, I still think there were still a ton of things I want changed in here. Mainly, I want MORE OPTIONS. Here are some I would LOVE to see (excluding the things already mentioned in previous segments). More turn toggles: The highest you can go in Superstars was 30. I want there to be an option to increase it up to 50 like the earlier Mario Parties. Item toggles: The Super Smash Bros. games have them, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has them as of the 3rd BCP Wave. I don't think it would be too much of a stretch to do the same for Mario Party. Bones Star toggles: Take what I said about items and apply it here. Superstars did set a good starting point with the Classic Bonus Star option (in fact, it's my preferred setting when playing that game), but that's all it is, a starting point. Cost toggles: When rewatching the trailer, I saw that stars only cost 10 coins as opposed to Superstars with 20. I want there to be an option to toggle the cost of stars and maybe other things because I feel like 10 coins is too little for something as game changing as a star. Will any of these options appear? At best, probably only the Turn toggle. But I still at least HOPE that these options will appear. Anyways, that concludes my thoughts. I'm super excited for this game, but also a little worried. Hopefully it will be good.

Just a bit of clarification about the 10 coin star, the trailer said that the flash sale event made the stars cost half the price, so the default cost is likely still 20, but I still agree with the sentiment that more toggleable options would be nice

Super Mario party start up music is a certified hood classic

Few things i'd add: 1 - Being able to play 50 rounds again. 2 - Beaing able to select the 3 end bonus stars. 3 - Turning pity coins on/off. The coins you get even after losing a minigame. It's nice to have but i'd also like the option to turn it off. 4 - Being able to select many or few Lucky and Item spaces. Some maps in Superstars had quite a lot. It's good to have them but being able to costumize a how many would be a great addition. 5 - Being able to pick prices at item shops cheap/regular/expensive. In Superstars the items were almost too cheap imo. 6 - Have random items in the shops. It's a little too easy/predictable when you know exactly what items are in the shops. Would make it more risky when the items change any time you visit an item shop. Though maybe this could be optional. 7 - Return yellow and red orb items. Really miss this from the GameCube games. Added another layer of strategy. 8 - Being able to turn certain items off, like the Golden Pipe or Chomp Call. For some people this can break the game/make it too easy. So having the option to turn it off would be nice. 9 - Being able to Duel for a star like Mario Party 7. 10 - Add a Star Mode (Whoever gets a certain amount of stars wins. The amount of stars to win is optional from 3-5-7-10. Bowser can't take away stars and Chance Time Spaces can't switch stars). One more thing. To make the game more replayable, let's be able to unlock a lot of things. Maybe a few characters, a board, some minigame modes, certain minigames, maybe even costumes. Just something more than stickers, cards, encyclopedia and music. Would be great to have to unlock things that you'd actually want to grind for. Give people a reason to keep playing it.

Yeah back in the gamecube days you had zero mini games unlocked from the start and you needed to play the main party a lot to get them all. Also your 10th point seems very cool though I would keep chance time and bowser effects, otherwise it can be very easy for one person to collect multiple unanswered stars in a row. Hope you enjoyed the video!

Anyone else feel like the Wiggler board in this game just looks like if Toad Road from Mario Party 9 was a traditional Mario Party board?

What I want is the boss mini games from 9, 10, and star rush. They were fun as heck.

Amiibos are probably the solution to raid bosses. So here is my concept: Raid boss mode is esentially a mode where you use a trained amiibo or a CPU harder than the max difficulty. that you and your friends and family, or CPU's will have to defeat. If the Amiibo is not at 4th you lose (Yes so you NEED to make him last place). It's pretty similar to Bowser Party from the game we don't talk about. You can play with 3 or 4 non-raid boss players. The way that 4 player works is also similar to the game that we don't talk about but actually good mario party. Now for the amiibo Itself: The player from their accout can train an amiibo from the roster to party and get smarter and stronger. Then you can either use the amiibo as a Raid Boss or take it online of offline and play with it. That is pretty much it I wanted to put.

Great video! This is definitely my most anticipated game of the year. My main concern was the controls since the trailer mentioned some minigames would require one joycon, but happy to know that most of the game will have button controls. The new boards look great, and I'm really looking forward to having the best boards from 1 and 2 back. The character roster looks great as well, and Ninji not being with the other 20 in the screenshot makes me wonder if Ninji is an unlockable and if there could be more, but the roster is big enough as is, so I don't mind either way!

Here are my main 5 (Not in order): 5. All the characters. 4. Being able to play the boards online. 3. Little to no lag in the 20 player mode (Every game’s gonna have at least a little lag). And being able to play it with friends. 2. Fast paced board experience like in superstars. 1. Being able to play on the boards with 8 players like u can in mp7 (Both online AND offline).

@@GWallProand I can perfectly go well with an actual 8-player (free-for-all) game and not one where only four players control eight characters.

I just want more representation within all of the Mario Parties. MP8 had some incredible stages that were memorable, and Mini games that were just a blast to play, such as Flip the Chimp, King of the Thrill, Lean, Mean Ravine, Shake It Up, and Boo-ting Gallery. Yes, I had to look up their names, still, just by seeing them, they do bring back good memories

While those minigames would be nice, I do think this game will only have original minigames, so let's just hope most of them are good!

The things that I think would create the best MP:: 1. Orb item system is the best system no doubt about it the way orbs worked led to the most strategy and variety 2. Chance time needs to be in the game so blowout games are not completely boring and there is always a chance of coming back 3. Duel spaces are fun keep them and use the MP6 duel system 4. We need at least 6 boards for variety any less and there is very little variety 5. free updates would keep interest in the game high and make it more fun for people 6. Proper 8 player Mario Party

@@GWallPro Unsure if you played Mario Party 7 but it featured an "8 player" mode I put it in quotes because the gamecube could not actually support 8 controllers So what they did was have people share the two halves of the controller for the 8 player minigames despite how clunky it sounds the 8 player minigames are really fun However with the switch we do now support 8 players so I think it would be the perfect time to bring back 8 player Mario Party both in 4 v 4 format like in MP7 and in free for all format

Two things I want for this Mario Party is: fast paced party mode and all cpu option.

What are your thoughts on the ally system? I loved it in Super and I'd love to see it return, even if just an alternate mode.

I honestly didn't mind it that much. The allies were ineffective enough to where they didn't get in the way of what you were trying to do. I think it would be better if you could choose each turn whether you want to use your allies or not because having an ally made it harder to plan to land on a specific space

I disagree with you on the mashing button minigames, because there pretty lame, and would be painful too.

Could I try improving (and fixing) this installment? It would work better if Pauline, Geno, Lady Bow, Goombella and Vivian are newly playable characters.

Can't say I necessarily agree with your take on needing more mashing minigames. If it were up to me, the less mashing there is, the better... My wish for this game is for there to be a minigame island/minigame coaster equivalent. Basically a mode where you play through all of the minigames from start to end. These were some of my favorite additions from the first two mario parties, and I'm glad it returned in Super as well. I'm sad that Superstars didn't have this because I feel like it would've been a really obvious thing, it's really one of the few things that dissapointed me from Superstars. I don't really have much else to say about this because I feel like this speaks for itself, I just think it would be neat. Also even if my wish doesn't make it into the final game, I still think I'm gonna like this game because A: the boards look promising, and B: spike is a playable character and i think that's really really funni

I don't thin kI've ever played the minigame island mode from Super but I'm glad you hear you had a good time with it! Maybe Koopathlon replaces it but the trailer does promise a TON of side modes so maybe that's one of them!

The boards look like they will be a lot of fun, I’m very excited for Rainbow Galleria, and so glad that Western Land and Mario’s Rainbow Castle is making a return. I like that they bring back boards kind of like, I forgot which GameCube MP it was but I like the racing board. It would be cool if they add alt colors to Yoshi, I know Shy Guy is also there, but I also hope they don’t add back the character specific dice blocks, because it kinda turns off some of my favorite character with mediocre dice blocks. I’m looking at you Super Mario Party

“Goomba Lagoon seems a little short in terms of the number of spaces.” After that, I was curious and I counted. I counted around 83. It’s a beefy board, which is nice to see.

Because of playable Bowser, I am worried about there potentially being no Bowser spaces like the original Super Mario Party.

So far, I really love the variety of boards, if I had to nitpick anything, tho I like the character roster, I feel like some of the Enemy characters (like Gumby&spike) are kinda pointless and could have been replaced. Like, it be a great opportunity to bring in more characters like Pauline, Didi kong. Maybe even other obscure character from other spin-offs as well like captain syrup from Wario. But hey, that’s just my personal nit pick

Bring back bowser party but fix it and get rid of the car, or just make sure it’s the only mode with the car, or both

Im going to review a couple of these points, 10-8 are confirmed, so thats cool Story mode may be a thing, because ninji seems to be a unlockables The boards do look fun, mega wiggler looks to be the best currently and bowser's keep looks super linear and kinda odd, definitely will be the worst board. Character wise, id be looking out for alternative colors in the trailer, I cant tell if its just NPC's but it seems like a option for the toads/shy guys.

From what we've seen Rainbow Galleria looks like my fav new board, but we haven't really seen the other ones. Idk how you could make a judgment on Bowser's Keep already lol. Roll 'em Raceway looks meh to me idk why

Yeah it's already confirmed that we can play with a pro controller for the majority of modes, so that is a huge blessing 🙏

as long as the game is fun then we are safe

I kinda wish it was similar to super mario party instead of mario party suoerstars. I did try both old mario parties (8 and DS) and new ones (9, 10, island tour and star rush) and i dont like the old ones actually. I probably have a different viewpoint tho.

Super Mario Party’s Megafruit Paradise was absolutely incredible music let me just tell you now. I’m sad it wasn’t used for a better more fun Mario Party though. Don’t get me wrong, Super was still fun and a step back in the right direction, but it still wasn’t like MP6 or any of the n64 games. It did try though and it was/is still fun. This song is so good I wish it in a super good Mario Party. I’m rambling, but I doubt the soundtrack will disappoint. Mario Party music is always awesome. 😎
