@@amirfroggie8370 No, it’s been since Mario Odyssey back in 2017 AKA Super Mario Party in 2018 which was 7 years ago, THREE Mario Party games ago, & literally every single Mario spin off game since 2018/2019 where she was a playable character EXCEPT for Mario Party over and over again. Mario Party is the only game series she continues to not be put in for whatever reason.

10:01 it looks like koopa paratroopa because you can barely see the wings, and maybe the brown is diddy kong?

lakitu, boom boom and the other characters in the minigame island area do seem to be NPCs, i bet they are like "guides" for each of the game modes that you access through the colorful gates they are standing by. In mario party superstars, mt. minigames is an area that looks almost exactly like this where you can play game modes hosted by lakitu, kamek, a red koopa paratroopa and bowser jr. so the characters by the gates in the trailer probably serve the same purpose. also, i think the large boat that immedeately leaves is the vehicle you use to play the game mode of the yellow gate, and the boats that the toads and shy guys are driving around in are probably the vehicles for the orange gate since they have the four player colors.

I’m that one guy who actually loves Super Mario Party. I didn’t care about the slow/manageable pace or 10 coin star price. So I’m grateful it’s getting a sequel. Hoping for some unlockable characters.

I'm just curious if they're more characters that we're not seeing; hopefully they are hidden and unlockable I'd love to see Hammer Bro, Dry Bones and Diddy Kong return, and maybe even Pauline would be a nice new addition to the list too! Personally I'd also like to see Metal Mario since he's Mario's rival and I wanna see him appear in a different game but I doubt he will but eh oh well; hopefully this game does impress, I can't wait to play it and see what it has to offer!

I personally would like to see Dry Bones return as well. He was always my biggest go-to in 8, and it would be a bit of a bummer to see him taken out of the roster for this game. Especially since they seem to be bringing most of the other enemy characters from previous entries back. He's all I really need.

Metal Mario IS Mario (like how Tanookj Mario is also Mario), unless you meant Robo Mario (from Mario Kart Arcade GP)

I think Boom Boom and Lakitu are simply NPCs who will be stationed at each dock with something like "Join Lakitu for some hectic 1v3 action minigames". It'd be strange to separate players on the screen like that

I was really disappointed with Pauline not being seen anywhere. it feels a bit messy still not having her in a MP game. I hope she finally is invited to the franchise.

That goomba board looks like an island hopping board. I don’t think you get alternate paths during a tide I think you are just stuck on an island

@@Beenman2210 You can see zip lines and bridges linking islands that obviously wouldn’t be flooded by the tide, so it seems more like it will just function like horror land by blocking some paths off at a specific time but still allowing almost full exploration of the board.

In my opinion these are the best looking board's since Mario Party 7

Boom Boom and Lakitu are most probably the hosts of the minigame modes, just like on Mount Minigames on Superstars Bowser Jr was the host for the survival mode and Lakitu was the host for coin battle

11:14 It probably will be exactly that because mario party star rush on 3ds had almost exactly same mode. Each player was playing coin collecting minigame at the same time and each coin would move your character one space but you were also filling out the gauge for an item and when you filled it out an item appeared during minigame and when you collected it you could use it to send it as attack to other player that could stun him or hurt his progress in some way.

The shot of Mario and Luigi flying with Peach made me think of Crazy Taxi. There's a time limit, and arrow pointing somewhere else, and you're clearly carrying an NPC.

Ngl I think boom boom and lakitu are probably just npc’s you can talk to, and they probably recommend modes or something along those lines. If lakitu WAS playable, I feel like he wouldn’t be in his cloud, as in Mario kart he’s just by himself. Also, if one of the unlockable characters in the game is just a red koopa that would kinda suck lmao

Notice that the Koopathlon mode looks exactly like the Coinathlon mode from Star Rush, the only clear difference being it's now 20 players instead of just 4. Also there were Bowser minigames in the Coinathlon, so it's pretty clear the Bowser minigame that we see with 20 players is definitely part of the Koopathlon

It baffles me how Pauline and Diddy Kong aren't shown in this game, as I was looking forward to both of them here. 😒

the mall looks like it has different shops that can be interacted with.

I just want a Mario party with all the minigames and all the boards from past games

I’m guessing it’s going to do a similar thing to the earlier games where Bowser’s board isn’t available until you’ve played a round on each of the other boards, which is why we see it under construction.

Bowser being playable gives me the concern that there will be another character with large hitboxes (the other being DK), which will make them just better in most situations.

Would love more unique expansive maps like the ones in 8, also loved the secret parts of the map that would be unlocked if you landed on a lucky space.

Super Mario Jamboree is coming in scratch in the end of July. You can also add your own minigames by a studio

1.I hope that when you play the normal mode online with random people if someone gets disconnected that person that disconnected is replaced by a computer and not have everyone disconnected that is annoying 2.i hope that your friends can play with random people with you 3. I also hope that there is more items that takes coins away from your opponents

Why nobody talk about the fact that in « roll em raceway », you can’t play who you want (in the bord at least). You’re either play toad or shy guy as racers.

I like how you said you wouldn't look at happening spaces for the boards would be useless... But then you said the Mall map looked the least generic in terms of happenings, but it has the most those shops to pass by that you completely ignored by not trying to look any deeper.

i believe the giant bowser thing is part of koopathlon, some of it is those real time minigames with coins and sometimes you have giant bowser encounters including that boss with the cannon and the people who do best get more spaces on the map. both things are 20 players so already have a connection there and would make sense why it's called "koopathlon", because the real main enemy is a giant king koopa

I'm looking forward to playing as Bowser or Bowser Jr. in some of these modes. I love the different flavor text with some characters.

I am "super" exited for this but the only thing im a bit worried about is if they keep the gimic of each character having there own dice block. In super mario party i didint realy like that cus then i woulnt choose charcters i like but characters who have the best special dice block. Hard to tell if thats in the new game but im hoping its not.

10:01 I think that 3rd character is Diddy Kong. The red is likely his cap, and then you can see his body right below it!!!

16:35 something I noticed is they is a stamp board on the right like you see in some anime and on some travel stuff and if looks like one stamp is already on the board and there are 4 total and it looks like you can just do it as you walk my indicated by the diamond instead of a space curious how this will work and just wanted to get that out there since I have not seen anyone talk about it yet.

Behind the tree on the mini game island looks like captain toad, you can see the little lantern on his mushroom head.

I want the talking flowers from Mario Wonder in this game.

Would be nice to see a board based on one of the many mario rpg games... instead it's always the mainline series. Even with the mainline series it likes to pretend Wart doesn't exist. They should shove Mario Land 1's Tatanga in a space board. A wario land board with the Black Sugar Pirates... Nope, just gotta be the same things we've seen again and again and again. Mario is such a creatively stagnant franchise. What once seemed like a company of creative geniuses are now a corporate soulless shell of its former self, if any of them tried to think of a new character or a new villain other than bowser in the mainline mario games they would physically injure themselves.

Bruh is this a brand new game or is it like DLC for Super Mario Party? This is literally the same situation with the WiiU

I think there are costumes for the characters as you can see multiple coloured shy guys on the race board

You say everyone getting coins in mini games in super mario party was bad but its one of the best changes the series ever made. It makes all the sense in the world to reward being 2nd or 3rd.

Pity coins are not fun in Mario Party at all - especially skill based mini-games

You can see (at 13:29 for example) that you can change the color of some characters. Here you have pink and green maskass and blue and yellow Toad. Maybe it's just a cut scene tho but that would be weird (and disappointing). So maybe we could have red koopa troopa too
