Alright so I'm currently really sick and decided to binge some Alpharad for the weekend. Naturally I picked the longest video I could find and watched for about 40 minutes before falling asleep. Since I've been a pretty big Star Fox Fan my brain generated a dream that somewhere on the edge of new donk city there was a mini game where you could take over a vehicle that greatly reassembled an Arwing. In this mini game you had to fly around and take down 3 Star Wolf members while going through the checkpoints as fast as possible. I remember that after they're taken down and you won you can jump on their heads endlessly at their crash sites which was pretty funny. God I love my imagination 😂

36:25 when jacob said "a lot of bad video games" I instantly got a raid shadow legends ad, comedy at its finest

I think you're underestimating how childish the sense of humour of many girls and even adult women is 😁 I remember me and my friend Naomi in English class being in fits of hysterics trying to get through an old Sherlock Holmes book, where Sherlock kept ejaculating his words at Watson, the maid knocked them up early in the morning, and one of the central characters of that story had a great passion for exotic animals. Life sucks, sometimes we all need to childishly laugh!

I have long thought that the Switch has laid out the most definitive versions of a lot of series on this console. Everything from BOTW to Smash ultimate, the Mario Party that just released, Metroid Dread, they all just hit that point for me where I can say "Yep, this is the peak, I love these games and I doubt anything will top them." And this game, Mario Odyssey is UNQUESTIONABLY the Mario franchise's equivalent. I can't even keep up with the insane level of love and care that went into this game, every time I boot it up I find some brand new thing about it that just makes me gush to hell and back.

I come back around once every month when I need some good content that I can just rewatch

Sure, there's less distance between you and the center of mass of the Moon, but there's also less mass "below" you. Gravity isn't infinite at the center of something like the Earth or Moon. It would ultimately depend on the density of whatever body you're on/inside of. It might be that the math works out to let gravity be that strong, but I don't really feel like doing that math right now. If someone could do that, that would be great; I am interested in what the gravity would actually be. The crust of the Moon is estimated to be 30-45 km thick, by the way; given how we see magma in the lunar cave, Mario's either in a pocket where magma's pushed itself up, or under the crust

The sheer happiness that manifests within this longer than an hour video is a testament to how perfect Odyssey is as a game. It’s the Mario game I dreamt of when I was little. Dozens of cool costumes as use for the coins, Banjo-Kazooie style stay-in-the-level gameplay, a broad mixture of difficulty for the Moons, inventive, varied and entirely original gameplay, endless creativity in the brand new creatures and environments, Sunshine-secret-level style special levels, fan-service nostalgic nods to 2-D in a fun way... There’s nothing this game doesn’t execute perfectly. You don’t need 999 Moons to appreciate the game and if you do, that’s your issue and has no affect on the quality of the product. Just finishing it should be enough to show how it is the highest peak 3-D Mario has reached so far, easily. I used to be a Sunshine purist. Then I played this magnificent game. Enough said.

I love this! I watched this super cut atleast 10 times. I love how excited and genuine he sounds about the game.

I've rewatched this video so many times, Jacob just sounds soooo happy the whole time that i cant help but watch it over and over!

I’m Italian and pretty much every attempt to mock us fails, I myself constantly say “Itsa me, a-Mario! Letsa go!”

this is so funny watching knowing that the any % ers have beaten the entire game about 50 minutes quicker than the supercut of Alpharads playthrough lol

I watched this super cut when it first came out and then bought Odyssey okie in 2021 and my god I missed out on so much, and Jacob’s editing was so well done, I legit thought so many areas of the game he edited with music were legit in the game, mostly the faded Jump Up superstar in the New Donk City painting

God, every time that music plays, I just get chills through my entire body. Wether it’s jump up superstar, the theme of peach floating down, or even the ending theme, it always gets me.

You gotta love just seeing somebody be happy and having so much fun enjoying a game you love

I love how when the golden chain chomp exploded in cascade there was an ad immediately after.
