Super-LumiNova on the NO TIME TO DIE 007 Omega Seamaster Special Edition & SPECTRE Limited Edition

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

One of the common questions I have come up in the comments on my other videos featuring the No Time To Die Special Edition, is asking what the Super-LumiNova is like and if I can show it in a future video.
So this video is to do just that, and shows both the Super-LumiNova on both the No Time To Die Special Edition watch (Ref - 210.90.42.20.01.001) and also the Spectre Limited Edition (Ref - 233.32.41.21.01.001)

Background:
After hearing that Omega were releasing this "No Time To Die" Special Edition Seamster, I knew it was something I wanted to go and look at in person as soon as I saw the publicity photo's and that I may well want to add it to my collection.
I made a visit to the Omega Boutique on Regent ST, London and picked up this fine example on Saturday 14th March 2020.
After a week owning and wearing the watch, I wanted to give a more in-depth review and share some more of my thoughts on this latest edition to the Bond watch family.
Omega's own write up of the watch is as follows:
DIVER 300M
OMEGA CO‑AXIAL MASTER CHRONOMETER 42 MM
Identical to 007's watch in No Time To Die this 42mm Seamaster, in strong yet lightweight Grade 2 Titanium, sports a brown tropical aluminium bezel ring and dial.
Slightly slimmer than the standard Diver 300M models thanks to the doming of the sapphire-crystal glass, it is presented on a Grade 2 Titanium mesh bracelet with innovative adjustable buckle.
The 007-edition Diver is powered by OMEGA's Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8806, which has achieved the industry’s highest standards of precision, chronometric performance - and of course - magnetic resistance.

That is beautiful. Every day beater a TAG Heuer Aquagraph 2000 is put to shame.

Interesting video mark, a lot of people feel the patina has been overdone, I have to disagree the beige yellowish colour I think matches the brown dial perfectly, in fact I don’t see it as faux patina at all. Keep up the good work!👍

How long does the Super-Luminova last in the dark once fully charged?

Thanks for this video! I'm picking that the lume is mainly blue (rather than grey) with the minute hand in green (rather than yellow) on the No Time to Die? It's easier said than done to get the colours of Lume showing accurately. I know this because I've tried it and the Lume often looks quite different in photos than in real life. It's great that Omega have done a fully lumed dial :)

Really enjoyed your video. Thanks for posting it. Just out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on Omega's manual helium escape valve design? I'm personally not crazy about it, but I still like the watch. I wonder why Omega opted for an external, manual valve, rather than a flush automatic escape valve like on the Rolex Sea-Dweller. I would think that any patent Rolex had on the automatic valve has expired by now. Rolex started utilizing Blancpain's unidirectional rotating bezel as as soon as the patent on that ran out, so there's no reason why Omega can't utilize Rolex's escape valve design if its patent has expired.

Not sure if it‘s the whitebalance but is it actually blue, or more a white with a small hint of blue in it? Stunning lume tho!
