    NGL, that cage looks great. Nice and slim with the profile. The grip extension of the cage is one of those 'why doesn't everyone build cares like this' things that we never knew we needed lol

    I’m so glad I got the Falcam cage for my GH6 before they discontinued it. It makes for a super-modular system. And it already has the F38 plate cast into the bottom which is much stronger than screwing a plate into the 1/4-20 hole.

    I would have taken this cage if there was a clamp protector support for the hdmi connector and especially usb-c for the external ssd.

    Took out the s5ii such a stunning camera. Was wondering could you do a video about the differnt AF and witch one use. I have seen other users say the human AF struggling and personally i think its based on them not knowing the best one use in different situations

    @@CalebHoover No worries. I was thinking of doing it myself but Ill just be starting and wont have the credit you will have. The Human AF on the S5ii is so powerful. When i was out shooting a parade at times there was 3 people holding a banner. I used the full aera human AF and the camera was able to pick up all three people straight away. As i was using the camera I was taken back by just how good the AF is

    What is the weight of the S5IIX with: - Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 Art - cage - battery - SSD holder - SSD drive - USD cable connecting camera to SSD - lens filter/ND filter I ask this because I want to know if the DJI RS3 mini or Zhiyun Weebill 3S gimbal can balance this above mentioned configuration?

  • @CalebHoover

    @CalebHoover

    11 ай бұрын

    not sure of the total weight but the sigma 24-70 is a heavy lens. even with all that the rs3 should be able to handle the weight. i would doubt the weebill 3s would be able to handle it.

    Forgive me please for this question but what is a camera rig for? Would it be useful for wedding videography and at what points in the day would it be good for?

  • @CalebHoover

    @CalebHoover

    11 ай бұрын

    it's good for being able to attach other accessories like top handles and side handles, monitors, etc which in production like weddings might come in really useful.

    sometimes i use an arm especially if i'm off to the side while shooting interviews. i usually like the monitor centered on the rig tho.

    I’m so afraid of the top handle. I could easily see myself accidentally pressing the release in the top handle and ending up with only the rod of the top handle in my hand. I wish they made a top handle without that divide. Apart from that, killer system.
