I love Turkish tv series because they actually have a story behind them and I never have to worry about my kiddo coming in and seeing something I don't want them to. I'm slowly getting better at understanding the dialog but have some trouble because of the slang and shortened words. Thank goodness I found Can's videos.

The best thing about these phrases is that most of them are simply one or two words but are basically an equivalent to an English sentence lol. So it is a very efficient language but pronunciation is important.

I’ve watched many language videos on KZread and this one is by far the best for any language I’ve seen. I love how he introduces the words and then applies them to real life scenarios, with images and commentary and the translation and Romanized spelling. It’s cool because you can learn other words from context. It’s a perfectly engaging lesson. He is also very funny!
