@@bnjabravo "not even an aboslute pitch guy can play the exact same digitation at that speed" - an absolute pitch guy can hear every note no problem just like you can hear English(or your native language) at any speed even like 2x. An experienced AP "guy" can hear notes in such bpms as even 400bpm 4ths. So it is a skill issue whether he can play it or not. It is still playing by ear, because he didn't look at any tabs (probably even before).

He is definitely godlike at guitar. But there's no way this is the first time he has played or listened to the song. Some songs are pretty easy to just pick up and mimic after a first listen, but this insane proggy shit is just impossible to transpose via ear on your first listen. This only applies to the main intro riff. The other riffs that he's playing after could very well be transposed after a first listen because it's much simpler.

@@maximooze3196 There's just no way you're able to listen to a riff like this once and transpose it instantly with 0 error. Everything is correct, down from the augmented chords to the weird syncopated notation and random arpeggios. You can hear the parts that he's playing for the first time in this video, being the sections after the main riff. How do you hear it's the first time he played it? Because he does alot of mistakes and plays it wrong. He knows what scale the song is in though so he can improvise the skill in 4/4 instead. But the main riff which is, probably 5 times harder and more complex he plays pretty much flawlessly. It's really telling.
@brianwyoder

I just watched 3 other very good guitar players and teachers being stumped by Henson's amazing playing, and also seen how Playing God is arguably called the most difficult guitar riff. And then Sungha listens to the intro ONCE and picks out like 90-95% of the intro just like that; like it was the easiest song ever. I have not been surprised and mind-blown this much since I saw Dimash for the first time. To think you were that 11 year old boy I had the fortune to meet, and now you are here basically in God mode!

@@bnjabravo "not even an aboslute pitch guy can play the exact same digitation at that speed" - an absolute pitch guy can hear every note no problem just like you can hear English(or your native language) at any speed even like 2x.

Sungha is an OG KZreadr agreeed?
He ain’t playing god, he’s a god
i remember when he posted one of his first videos while we were in elementary music school everyone went crazy in class 15 years later he is as crazy as ever
Damn you're a genius! hats off you make me want to practice more
The intro riff alone took me like an hour non stop of practice to get it smooth

U must be really good at guitar
I just watched 3 other very good guitar players and teachers being stumped by Henson's amazing playing, and also seen how Playing God is arguably called the most difficult guitar riff. And then Sungha listens to the intro ONCE and picks out like 90-95% of the intro just like that; like it was the easiest song ever. I have not been surprised and mind-blown this much since I saw Dimash for the first time. To think you were that 11 year old boy I had the fortune to meet, and now you are here basically in God mode!
How can that be possible? so much talent and hard work of course. impressive.
You need to play all the song paaar favaaar !!! Genio !!
Tim Henson and Sungha Jung are so alike. It's like one is the evil version and the other is the good version.

I would watch this anime Heaven vs Hell Shredders
sungha jung needs to be featured in Polyphia.. or at least with Tim Henson
I've been listening to Sungha's covers for YEARS and not until 10/16/2023 did I know the dude can speak English, and very well. I assume when you can completely master the guitar, leasrning english must be a walk in the park.
Simply amazing, this guy is at god mode
They - You can't play Tim henson (Polyphia God) Sungha Jung - Hold my beer let me grab my guitar...🔥

i like your name
Everyone has a wall where no amount of practice can overcome it. This mans wall is further out than most and that is what we call talent.
he played it so well in so little time my big toe started to hurt
Witnessing talent like this is a joy...
