What adorable little characters and the bird--the wings are so intricate!

My father was an internal medicine surgeon but his hobbies were gardening and reading philosophy. He was known as the surgeon with the Golden Fingers but I think his Green Thumb brought him more joy 🥰

Hint: soak the whole pot in water before planting. Also avoid watering the leaves, especially in sunny weather.

What a beautiful walking path. A forest bath is very healing. Love your doggie.

Yes, the area I walk in is a protected watershed for the river which is a salmon spawning ground. No development/farming or clearing. The trees are generally Douglas Fir, Red Cedar, Sitka Spruce, Garry Oak and Big Leaf Maple.

I bought the rocks came from my 12 year-old cousin, who has a little cottage industry going... and I love them! It's a great idea for kids...and adults I guess! ;)

Canada is beautiful. My Da was born in Ontario. I am in South-eastern North Carolina. I am a native New Yorker (city) I don’t miss the city at all.

So beautiful! One of my all-time faves - Mozart’s p. conc. #23 (K. 488, 3rd mvmt) until about 6:40 and then relaxing tones. Perfect for your walk. And Vancouver Island? I knew you were in Canada but not as close as Vancouver Island. Only a long boat ride away. (my closest ferry is Edmonds, between Seattle and Everett - but that’s the WA state ferry system, not Canadian) Like everyone else, I’m gobsmacked by the lovely walk in the forest. Such a great time of year when we don’t have to bundle up for walks and so many things blooming. Cute gnomes and such a gorgeous bird from your friend. I have a tonne of family in the Seattle area and visit often. I take BC Ferries to Tsawwassen, or WS Ferries to Anacortes or Port Angeles...whichever strikes my fancy...lots of choice!
