Hi Jen, I'm 67 and retired and came across your l videos while looking for content to watch. I am really enjoying your videos and have learned a lot from you myself. I hope you will love retirement as much as I do. I left work at age 65 and worked all my life, started age 15 and rarely had time off. I had various jobs from menial to higher up and loved them all. When I decided to give up work at 64 I panicked as I did not know what I would do so at 65 still no plans I dived into it and found my super power is that I don't need plans or jobs and I am super good at doing nothing 😅 I so much love my days doing as much or as little as I please with only my 2 dogs to answer to. I have banned any human telling me or asking to do anything. I feel productive about my life, my well-being and taking care of me. I have found my favourite thing is to visit wellness retreats so I go to the ones in Thailand as Australia is way above my budget. I aim to go twice a year but am happy to go once.😂 I figured aim high. Keep doing what your doing it's really brilliant! ❤

You are the reason I started my own KZread channel a couple of weeks ago. Thank you for the inspiration and these beautiful walk videos! 🎉

Greetings from Laos. There are a few Germans and French living in my country. The love the warm climate and homestead here. Most run small businesses here like coffee plantation.

I just found your channel, and I’m going to share it with my mum. She’s 74 and I’m trying to encourage her to create cooking videos. She’s retired and had to get a part-time job two years ago, shes ready to quit that job but needs the extra income. She’s one of my motivations to continue my KZread journey because in the future I want to be able to show her that it’s definitely 100% worth it.

I have no clue how your channel ended up in my home page about two weeks ago because I watch mostly tech and business channels. However you were exactly the inspiration I needed to stop my limiting beliefs that I’m too old, or not tech savvy enough to share the ideas I’ve been hiding in the mountains of journals I’ve been keeping. And, although I was immediately drawn to your videos about how to get a channel started I actually subscribed after I watched the content that is like this because I find your perspective both refreshing and relaxing. I’m glad the universe allowed me to stumble on what has been a small yet powerful example that I don’t need youth or permission to continue to pursue my dreams or hobbies. Wishing you continued success and joy as you inspire people like me🙏.

Thanks so much! I hate that we limit ourselves and assume that past a certain age we just "can't" do something anymore.... You're just starting out on your third act, not finishing up your life!

Beautiful wild ferns.

I tend to work myself too hard because I feel perpetually behind on things. This was exactly what I needed to allow myself to sit still and recover from my morning weeding session. It is 10 AM in northeast Florida. Provided I stay in the shade, I can now go back out for another session. Marking this as a favorite to come back to whenever I need to be still. Bliss!

That was a nice walk with your dog. I finished phase 1 of a very significant 3 1/2 week project on Friday. This project required several meetings over the course of the 3 1/2 weeks. Some of those were lengthy. The project has been submitted and we're waiting. The decisions made from what was submitted will determine how many more phases this project will have and how long the time frame will be. I'm now playing catch up. I'm still working to come up with a title for a channel. Hopefully I will have that by the end of Wednesday. That's been a huge stumbling block to starting a channel. Now I have more time to come up with something I like.

I love your videos of you and Skye out walking. The music you choose is perfect everytime. The wild daisies and ferns are gorgeous. The ferns remind me of when I lived in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It had wonderful wild blueberries everyone picked in the summer. Yum! Do you have wild berries where you live? And what are the bushes with the stunning yellow flowers? The only thing I missed was Skye's little tinklebell. 😂 I always look forward to your vlogs every week!
