Many engine builders like gas ported piston rings because they create a better seal against the cylinder wall during the engine’s combustion cycle. Well I’m gapping a set now for a hemi so pretty excited to see how this goes . I wish they where out when I installed my 6.0 LS pro pistons but who know maybe I’ll change them anyway . I’m the tuner and the builder so I’ll definitely get to see first hand . Thank you God Bless.

Thanks for your question! The steel material is perfect for boost or even nitrous, and the gas porting makes them better than even the best conventional ring sets.
Just threw some SBC 4.040" 1mm 1mm 3mm gpx rings in my wish list 💪🏼💯
We did this over thirty years ago, but sadly at the expense of many broken rings

Does the ported rings of old hold the same street benefits?
Don’t forget the single cylinder minibike racers and sport compact racers 70mm -90mm🙏
Can sets be mixed for us? I have a set of Probe 4.125 pistons that are 1/16 1/16 3.0mm. The gas ported rings are available with that top, 2nd, and oil ring size, but not together in the same kit.
I would really like to try these on my current build, but I see that the set for my application does not have napier style second rings. I prefer napier for oil control. Is there a reason these are not available?
