Summer Velvet Scouting Lessons | Building Whitetails | SPYPOINT

Спорт

Are you putting in any time behind some optics scouting velvet bucks? Trail cameras tell you a lot but there's still things to learn from glassing.
Late summer is a great time to break out the binoculars or spotting scope and hit those fields or food plots that you can observe safely from a distance to get a feel for how the deer are using the property and how antler development is progressing.
Glassing during the summer can be a great tool to help confirm what you already know, or show you something you've been missing. You may see deer using a trail you didn't expect, maybe away from where you have cameras mounted, so you've been missing them on camera all spring and summer
Regardless of why you're doing it, as those late summer cold fronts move through, and you're looking for an excuse to get out of the house and enjoy an evening near the deer woods, glassing velvet bucks is a great tool to prepare for the seasons that will be here before we know it.
