@@gardiner_bryant I don't want to support MS either, but how else to support the game and developers other than to purchase it? IMO, the demand for the game would show MS how wrong they were.

I picked up both Portal 1 & 2 and The Witcher 3 as fast as I could. Summer vacations are gonna be fun!

Try Witcher 1 and 2 before 3. You will be surprised how great they are

Check out the NSPCC Charity Bundle on Fanatical. 16 games for about $10, mostly kids games. I have just checked the three games that isn't on protondb; Transformers, Baby Shark and Blaze Monstertruck.... Works on Linux so they should work on Steam Deck.

I would've gotten Shadow of War a LONG time ago, but it had lootboxes and Denuvo, so I didn't. Meanwhile they removed the lootboxes, but it STILL HAS Denuvo. The game was released almost 7 years ago and it has a DRM-free version available on GoG! What is wrong with these people?!

I'm finally getting one so I'm just waiting on the mail. Play and buy Bomb Rush Cyberfunk.

I picked up (and am going to replay) The Nonary Games, which is a collection of escape the room/point and click/visual novel games. Definitely worth a look.

Got the Amid Evil dlc, The Black Labyrinth, on a sweet sale. Also Severed Steel and Duke 3D Anniversary

I'm waiting for the July Humble Choice to drop tomorrow before I buy any more games from the Steam Sale (did pick up Soulstone Survivors though).

I highly recommend Alien Isolation on SD. It adheres to the aesthetic of the original Alien movie, and is a masterclass at building tension. It's a survival horror classic, which unfortunately too few people bought, otherwise it would have had a sequel. It's also highly discounted at the moment, and runs beautifully on Steam Deck, even at 1080p whilst docked.

indiana jones collection on steam is only 6$ for 4 games right now, crab champions is on sale and is pretty fun and I definitely plan to buy outcast a new beginning. currently playing total war pharoah which is also on sale. I also picked up stranded alien dawn and a few other games. love the steam sales. also the disney bundle seems like a good deal and all the disney retro games are dirt cheap right now.

Haven't tried the games I bought on my Steam Deck yet, but they worked just fine on my Nobara PC and ChimeraOS. Warhammer 40k Boltgun, Astroneer, oblivion override, Rogue Legacy 2, Hotshot racing, viewfinder, New super luckys tale and many more.

My favorite Steam Deck games are ones that aren't hugely graphically demanding and really benefit from controller support. Rogue Legacy 2 is fantastic here.

@@Omnifarious0 I buy 2d games for my handhelds, easier on my old eyes 🤓 If I want to play a nice looking 3d game I rather use my PC with my 3440x1440 monitor. But Rogue Legacy 2 looks very nice on that monitor compared to the Steam Deck. I had some wierd issues with the latest Proton-GE, just switched to the ordenary Proton and it was fixed.

@@nickxcom I started playing it before I knew that New Super Lucky's Tale is an improved version. Me and my son played it yesterday. Fun game. If you have kids, Fanatical have a NSPCC Charity Bundle with 16 games for kids, price is about $10 or more... for Charity...

I bought 5 games 👍🗿 I'm so happy. I wanted remnant 2 but it's kinda costly. So :) i ll buy that in next summer sale. Saving for stalker 2.

I got BG3 but damn it runs bad on the deck. Just going to play it on my PC

I managed to get 30fps with decent graphics. I did turn on emulated resolution in steam settings of the game (on internal screen) and then cranked settings in the game. I could share with all the settings I have. I really do enjoy this kind of gaming))

@@doberton I'm fairly certain I got it to 30fps. Maybe adjust your settings if you're only getting 15

Ghost Of Tsushima on deck runs excellent and I love the gameplay if you are looking for something different. Put settings to 30 fps and enjoy

I hope cyberpunk has actually gotten better on Linux. When I tried it about a year ago it was about four times lower framerate than on windows. I just gave up and dual booted.

I've been avoiding Shadow of War to avoid rewarding WB for their obnoxious patent. That's very cheap though...

Oh yeah, that too. I supposed Denuvo isn't the only reason to avoid it.

+1 for Shadow of War. Replace Doom 2016 with Eternal or get them both for extra fun. Runs well with Vulkan.

If you want a full fledged 3D racing game where you can casually drive loads of different cars, Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition is a great deal as well. It's driving is more serious than need for speed, but less serious than Gran Turismo and the regular Forza series. I just boot it up on my Deck, drive around, customize some cars, play some racers and then move on with my day. Love it. At 80% off the Ultimate Edition gives you loads of cars and expansion right at the start (after the introductory chapter where you get through all the seasons) and wheelspins to get more stuff. Wheelspins? Yeah Wheelspins, there is a gatcha element to it. BUT there is no way to buy more wheelspins. The Wheelspins are designed to help you guide through all the unlockable and let's you try stuff you otherwise might not have picked.

Hey dude, cool list but a small complaint. The video quality on the gameplays/trailers of games you put as b-roll look abysmal man. Why bother rendering and uploading this whole video in 4K if you're going to use 480p trailers for like the vast majority of it?

Metroidvania is really bad, I tough it was NINTENDO’S METROID

How can you recommend Cyberpunk on steam deck? It's not technically acceptable... I'd hoped that price wasn't the only criterion, but that there was also a bit of technical curation.

Played over 80 hours on deck. Use the SteamDeck graphics settings. Only place I had to switch to "low" setting was when I first went to Dogtown
