Your explanations and strategies on catching crappie in different seasons and where is very helpful. Also, suggested presentation, colors, lure weights, maintaining strike zone during retrieval and find their depths, rigging options are all very effective and helpful. Some of these things I forget about when it’s “go time”. The “why” when catching goes hot and cold. Great stuff that you don’t get from theses “pros” on the outdoor channel trying to pimp bobby garland or the like without explaining as why or how and what to do when the bite is challenging. Good stuff my friend.

It’s working. You asked for feedback so I giveth. I’m looking forward to more fall content bc I usually hang it up not realizing crappie maybe in the channels. We have a doc in a cove with channels on either side, 5ft depth. I think I’ve been missing out. Have you ever thought about making your own honey hole by sinking structure that would invite fish? You’re successful anyway so I’m guessing not.

I fish from the bank. My longest pole is a 6’6 zebco moderate action. Eventually I want to get a acc crappie stix but for now do you think my pole will be good enough or is a longer pole completely necessary?
