Lovin' your channel, Caleb. Been subscribed, watching, and learning this last year, only getting on the lake with a buddy sporadically. I inherited my dad's '95 Bass Tracker TX17 with 40hp last month and am getting out more often now. Little slow with the heat we've had, but motivated to figure it out. I went today and the only way I could get them to bite was a small trout hook, minnows, tiny weight. Very light presentation. I tried jigs with no luck and I tried slip bobbers with no luck. This was also a heavily fished lake and I was the only person catching.

Do you idle over the spots to see if they’re there? I’m in AL and just tried this technique for the first time last week. I rode around for an hour looking for fish over structure before I went back to vertical jigging bridges lol

Go to my channel and go to the “how to” vidoes. How I rig my slip cork set up is there, I have made a couple minor adjustments but that’s it. The limit in Texas is 25 per person per day. So it’s all good lol you can use that with slip cork and jig as well. Thanks for watching! God bless

Sadly There's nothing around me for 20 miles that sell Bait fish and the only fresh water is like a desert (flat with no real depth or structure) :( It does have couple creek channels so maybe there is hope. However the channels are heavily traveled

I will be honest with you brother. It will be very difficult to catch crappie from the summer from the bank. Crappie are deep right now and will sometimes be even deeper in the winter. So being able to fish that deep from the bank is very unusual. A few crappie will go in the creeks to chase shad in the winter. That is when I start hitting the creeks! I do have a few on my channel. Check it out!
