I've been listening to Dire Straits & Mark Knopfler for over 25 years now, and Sultans of Swing is probably the song I will never get tired of listening even after a million times. This cover is amazing, and I heard a lot of them, but I've never heard anything like this. The foundation and structure of Sultans of Swing are there, but they managed to completely re-invent it, adding their style and feeling, without denaturing it. The solos are incredibly creative but above all, perfectly executed. Josh & Martin have merged their style into something unique. Hats on to the bass, keyboards and drums players, they all nailed it as well, amazing. Thank you guys, you really made someone happy today. Now, I will be listening this in loop for a day or two :)

@@mulusmonteclaro198 I know REO brothers cover, it's a very good technical reproduction of the original (they are mostly known for their very sound accurate covers of the Beatles). But for me it's still a "mundane" cover, originality-wise. There are thousands of SoS covers on YT and internet, not many of them can pretend to re-invent the original song by bringing something new. I don't get the dislikes.. This is fabulous. I like Joshes singing, his brilliant soulful playing and the way he uses the rotary effect in this song. I really hope 1.5 million people have viewed this beauty but it also might be a hand full of guys like myself who watch it over and over and over ;D
Absolutely astounding. I love the amazing improvisation plus ability for you all to feel each other and defer to each other. The tone of the solos is other worldly! Thanks so much. Loving it from down under.
This is just insane! I've been listening to Dire Straits for such a long time and can sing every note of the solo's in this song. I always loved the Alchemy version because it just took the song even further. But this version is just out of this world. Thank you Martin and Josh on killing it on the guitars. And also the drummer just makes this song even better than i'm used to! Great musicians and great feel and love for the craft that is music!!
By 3mins in I was grinning ear to ear - WOW! Once Josh gets to play he knocks it outa the park and brings out even more from Martin... Magic, nice one guys. Best cover I've heard of that song by far!
I'm discovering Josh Smith. Perfect performance, unique taste, flawless playing. 15000/10.
The drummer has style even in the opening count.
This is the video that introduced me to Martin Miller and the band. It’s such a tasteful cover of a real classic. Every part is true to the original but with clever twists, which results in one of the best modern interpretations I have encountered. Martin’s solo from 3:30 to 4:50 is amazing...every chromatic run is perfect...every tone and intonation is spot on...fantastic! Excellent music makes me laugh out of joy and this one keeps me smiling. I’ve listened to it about 50x and will continue to come back to it. It’s the best cover of Dire Straits on the planet.

Much love to Martin Miller and his amazing band for putting together these huge covers and bringing such interesting musicians to play with them, its something else And since ive seen so many people talk about Josh, i just wanted to give my wows to Martin, cuz omg those licks, the man doesnt quite know how many licks from these videos i (and a lot of people im sure) have stolen from him.
