Have been listening to that 3:24 Lari solo on repeat. Haven't been as blown away by a guitar player since first seeing Josh Smith. The fluidity and phrasing, the inventiveness. So much control and storytelling. So much groove. Just gorgeous to listen to.

That's where I am today - a whole year after your comment. Have only just heard of her and the way she flutters or butterflies the 2 semitone downbend adds so much feel to one of the most famous riffs in modern music. Love her !!

Amazing first solo by Lari Basilio! She really knows how to tell stories when improvising. I can hear some Mark Lettieri in her playing.

I love the drummer's style. He killed it with the symbals!

Wow- can't stop listening to Lari's solo over and over and over... that's some of the tastiest guitar playing I've ever heard. It's like a song all in itself.

Dear kx8yw8hg7q,😀 same here. Her bending technique is fantastic. I play awful, but can hear tricky moments. She does it when she bends. Very similar to Robben Ford....there is some added moment, don't know what. And, completely agree with you: The lady is much, much more interesting than "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" guitarists. hahaha, a million of shredders all around of solar system. Bojan, Belgrade.

It's great to listen to covers when it is performed as great as the Martin Miller band and their guest musicians! No need to reinvent the wheel. The greatest songs have already been written. Just cover them in a terrific way. AWESOME! MORE!

That is the best rendition of Eric Clapton's hit song Layla. I especially love the combining of both the original version with the slower acoustic version. I have always wanted to combine these two great versions of Layla into one complete song. You guys did it. My hat is off to you. All i can say is: Bravo! Bravo! Encore! Encore! 👍👍👍👍👍 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Please keep up the great music. Peace!

There were good moments in this version but just listen to the Tedeschi Trucks Band with Trey Anastasio live at Lock'n version. Then you'll know at least one version better than this. I'm surprised no one from Martins band played slide at all.

Lari’s solo was a little piece of genius. Inventive, beautifully played, and some conventional ideas played with unique touches I’ve not heard before - those staccato double-stops at 3:50 for example. So much material I need to steal!

Dude I can't wrap my head around how you first outdid the original version and Acoustic version combined and second made a Masterpiece into even more of a masterpiece man you guys are amazing

Well put Drake, couldn’t agree more. Lexington Lab Band is also top caliber, but often uses guest artists to nail the tune. Check out their Eagles covers for example.

Loving Lari's tone!

My guess is most of y'all weren't even born when Layla was first released. And myself as a Young musician when it was first released have always been a very big fan of Eric Clapton and Duane Allman. I got to hand it to you guys, this is probably one of the best remake Renditions I have ever heard. Thank you. It does my old retired musician heart good to hear people take a song like this make it their own and maybe even better in some respects. Damn, I just checked the ages of some of you guys. I'm old enough to be all of y'all's Daddy!

I loved this performance! I'm so glad Lari hooked up with Martin during her tour. What an incredible collection of musicians. Lari, your solo was fantastic! True to the song yet distinctively in your style. Martin and Nico played killer solos as well and the whole band was so tight and perfect. Wow, one for the history books.
