Idk but 0:45 always tickled my brain. You could feel that at this point jogo was really throwing ANYTHING at sukuna to get that one hit. Just the pure desperation/frustration of the fight. Well done in both sub and dub imo

@drsipp407 for real. For some reason I believe he actually got humbled by gojo. He was much more cautious and learned from his mistakes. I feel he also gained a little more passion for his comrades around the shibuya arc. He wasn't even mad that he died, he's just happy he did what he was supposed to. It's just as sukuna said, a "true loser".

@@Thatholyboi2941 And it turned out to be a mistake. He already went to fight gojo expecting gojo to be a bit stronger and he'd be able to retreat. Taunted gojo a few times when he thought gojo fucked up and died but he slowly realized how much stronger gojo is. This didn't humble him as much as it shot his confidence. In every scene after where gojo gauges someone's strengh, he keeps underestimating and putting himself down. As a cursed spirit, they work opposite to humans. He should have fought with pride, and have the kind of mindset to be able to say "I'm about to win this" even while cornered. That's why that "I'd win" manga moment got so much hype.

@no3ironman11100 and I think you are absolutely right. Even against the weaker opponents like naobito, maki, and nanami, he didn't have an ounce of arrogance compared to his first showing. And during the sukuna fight, after being asked to show his domain; his pride, as you said was so damaged by it being so easily overwhelmed before he was absolutely convinced it'd never work against the likes of sukuna. Which is a far shot from him being so confident his domain would work against gojo even after seeing a smidgen of his true potential

I love how you can hear the desperation in Jogo's voice as he grabs the buildings with lava hands, hoping it'll just do something to Sukuna.

People emphasize how much effort and emotion he put into flooding the city and using these lava hands but nobody is saying how if jogo pulled this shit out the squad that fought dagon would have straight up died. Like that's what the author said even iirc. Instantly covered in lava for a km around and they all get instantly killed with no possibility to dodge like it was a domain expansion. Only insane people nearing sukuna's level can just go "lol", what jogo's doing is a power feat no other character's showed off so far with so much of the district sinking into whatever volcanic lava pool he pulls up just by being pissed

That's why gege said in jjk , no one is right or wrong , its just a clash of ideals and the strongest ideal will prevail, What I liked about this battle is it gave an insight on sukunas mentality , he told Jogo that comparing yourself with others only leads to weakness, Even in reality, I think always strive for self improvement rather than comparing yourself with others as it stuns your growth That's why he told him he should have burnt everything.without a worry in his mind to reach his true potential

Yeah Sukunas voice is badass and is just amazing but can we please talk ahout the DESPERATION in Jogo's ENOGUH!? That was so clean and it feels like his VA was absolutely terrified and ready to end it with all of his hopes and dreams in that one attack

Ray Chase is just killing it as Sukuna! You can tell he's having fun!

I think it’s really ironic how Bucciarati’s sub voice actor did Gojo and his dub voice actor did Sukuna. Crazy how well that fits.

It could have been a possiblity, but it seems to me that the dub chooses to reuse voice actors seeing as how characters like Junpei and Toji have the same VA's when they could have brought on Jonah Scott to voice Toji like Demonslayer did for Upper Moon 1 Kokushibo. Bleach TYBW also has a similar problem, but outside of that, I enjoy the English Dub.

Holy shit the dub for Sukuna is incredible.

There is one thing I like about sukuna and that is he is respectful to those who fight to there last breath and I think that adds a nice touch to sukuna character and it shows that he is not a complete monster and he does respect those who are strong like yuijro hanma he may not show it but sukuna he does care about yuji he is just trying to show yuji that this world is cruel and not for a bright old soul like yuji
