"Suite Gothique" - Toccata - Auckland Town Hall Organ, New Zealand
Музыка
This being only my 3rd year of playing the organ I had a huge opportunity with support from the "Auckland Town Hall Organ Trust" to record 3 of the 4 movements from Léon Boëllmann's work "Suite Gothique", which is as of now my first performed organ solo work.

Thanks also to all my friends and family who support me in playing this amazing music! :)

Great performance and as an organist of 50+ years let me say your tempo is just fine.
Where did the tradition of illuminating the facade with colored lights come from?
I'll bet those monsters sitting next to you get pretty loud huh? Unless they're just for show, they're awfully pretty! This is such a cool piece, I enjoyed your rendition!

I’m assuming that they don’t care They just enjoy the massive sound from the beautie

The 'monsters' are the 32' open diapason and they are certainly not just for show.

In the previous organ, the big facade pipes were barely audible, but I do not know if Klais retained then as speaking pipes. As Henry Goss-Custard said many decades ago, speaking of certain 32' pipes in the Liverpool Cathedral organ "This is my expensive draft"!
A little slower than I would like, but still a fine performance!
