I cried a lot with this. After all the challenges they been going through (she had an injury and couldn’t walk for a while and later he had one surgery that put him in a similar situation too) they were able to have the result they wanted. The slo-mo shows Sui's expression as she landed--so confident! Never in doubt that Han will catch her on time and she will land smoothly!

ABSOLUTELY DESERVED. I burst into tears after Sui Han finished their program 😭 they are not only the pinnacle of figure skating in technical ability but also in performance scores - you really can't tear your eyes away

I waited for this moment since 2018 Winter Olympics. I am a huge fan. This couple is so magically wonderful, I love all their performances. Very well deserved. They are the only pair to have won all major international competitions - jr. Worlds (3), jr. Grand Prix Final (2), sr. Wordls (2), sr. Grand Prix Final (1), 4CC (6), and now the Olympics. First Grand Slam of pair skating.! Awesome.

Gordeeva/Grinkov, Shen/Zhao and Savchenko/Massot were definitely better, but this is a well deserved gold medal.

Absolutely beautiful and touching! Felt the same emotion as in 2017 performance with the same music. I love them.

@@user-rg6rz3eo2v Согласно, если пересмотреть, программу победителей в Корее, то ,да, там триумф-Победы, у них Муки- Победы, что КП,что ПП, великодушный подарок от ФФК России, наших лидеров ,загнали на 4 программы, и не работали над Победной ПП, все усилия были направлены на то чтоб ТМ, стали вторыми, как то не совсем честно, гонка за свое личное, Я, но не за престиж Страны!Главное ,что Траньков, прослезился, от чистого проката своих подопечных!🙄

Вы, конечно, правы, но в этой паре другое заслуживает внимания. Карьера у них долгая, если мне не изменяет память они катаются в паре уже 14 лет, и за это время у Суй дважды были тяжёлые травмы - ахиллы после которых она заново училась ходить и травма головы после которой она на некоторое время почти полностью потеряла зрение и до сих пор вроде как почти не видит с одной стороны, партнёр фактически смотрит при прокате за двоих. Оба раза Хань Цуну китайская федерация ФК требовала сменить партнёршу и тренироваться дальше, но оба раза он отказывался, носил партнёршу на руках на тренировки пока она плохо ходила. Они не сдавались и в результате они наконец-то Олимпийские чемпионы. Истории даже круче чем у Бережной с Сихарулидзе, всё-таки Антон стал её партнёром уже после травмы головы

The first event I actually watched in real time after following competitive skating and Sui and Han was the 2017 World’s when they won the first world title with the previous “Bridge over Troubled Water.” During the last Olympics 4 years ago, I was even a bit sad they didn’t use the program since it was my favorite. I’m so happy we’ve come a full circle. They deserve it, congratulations!

When Shen Xue ran into that group hug … 😭😭😭 Ugh, I’m so proud of them. They deserved it but they gave me an absolute heart attack with that salchow again. If they’d lost it because of that salchow again. Whew. Very very close. But that quad twist tho. I’m offended at how easy they made that look. Everything else, they way they skated to the music and timed their moves to the peaks … extraordinary. I’m so glad they finally got their moment. Extraordinary skaters and they’re finally Olympic champions. ❤️❤️❤️

sui was so perfectly composed the whole skate so when she cried at the end, it really hit different. so emotional!

Beautiful performance and a well-deserved victory! If anyone is wondering why Sui/Han won despite the mistake on the side-by-side jump when Tarasova/Morozov went clean, the quad twist and more complex death spiral allowed Sui/Han to stay within less than two points of T/M in base value even after their jump was downgraded, and S/H made up the difference with superior grades of execution on their successful elements. Sui's perfect throw landings, in particular, carried the day. So it was a combination of performing a more difficult twist and death spiral and executing their throw jumps perfectly that allowed them to overcome their mistake.
