Honestly, in my experience, the best counter to the suebi split is to overmatch one of their contigents and charge them semi-early while screening from the Suebi players other contigents

Good battle. Sol used the Suebi expertly in this match. Waiting until the late game to unleash Fast Charge was a brilliant move to cap off the battle and seal the victory. Jason just couldn't deal with Sol's strategy this time. Sol's strategy does take excellent micromanagement and countering that strategy is tough. GG to Sol and Jason.

7:00 Cimbri Bow-Women were either low or completely out of ammo, but their main purpose there was to soak the charge of the Oathsworn and provide a free charge for the Wolf Warriors.

Hmm, I think to help deal with the raiding cav, a couple of celtic skirmishers, maybe in place of the axe warrior and one of the levy freemen, could have been quite helpful. At that point the celtic slingers can try and trade with the Cimbri bow women while the skirmishers push away the scout cavalry. Of course, picking a better build is much easier with hindsight. :D

Any chance you could get into doing the official/proper coverage for some of these tournaments? Like do all the replays or one a day from them?

To be honest sol’s opponent doesn’t seem to experienced. He didn’t use the oathsworn headhunt to keep it in the battle longer where it could’ve easily gotten 20 to 30 more kills and also fed his army in peace meal which is immediately something you never ever want to do let alone in the tournament

nobody ever going for the longbow hunters, makes you wonder why they even bothered adding archers with only 125 range

Hit a wing with all his cav and rush in infantry for follow up. Pulling the rest of your army to that wing trying to minimize damage from the other suebi groups.

Can't think of a witty comment about Barbarians and wolf's. My disappointment in my self is immense, and my night is ruined

Its just Boii player being so bad, throwing away his cavalry, not placing levies infront of slingers to screen the army, not using most of his widened force.

sorry but the boii player was very bad he was just standing there and sending his units in piecemeal he insulted the german boii ancestors just taking arrow fire falling for the faints and baits 50 times lol this guy should practise more before he enters a tournament it was cringe level 9000 to see this

I hope the Boii player learned a lesson from this. Not to be unkind but you just let yourself get absolutely destroyed at the start, walking troops into arrows and then turning them around to take arrows in the back. Would have been better playing like the AI and just rushing that flank, you had tonnes of cav to silence the archers long enough to get the infantry in. It's a noble effort but you lost it when you folded on that right hand side.
