Sorry if this is too long, but just some thoughts on the Lusitani. The Lusitani aren't actually that light a lot of their units are heavy or very heavy (which just effects mass, speed and base hp). The thing that makes the Lusitani (and Arevaci to a lesser extent) unique is their shields. Most of their units use one of the caetra type shields (3 or 4 types in the files) which gives almost no armor or missile block chance but has I think 40 melee defense. Remember in Rome 2 armor is a combo of shield and armor the unit is wearing. The highest armor stat of actual armor on foot troops (cataphracts is way higher) is the bronze elite with 70 armor value. Most of the rest of the armor is 50 and lower (Roman may be 55) so most high armor units are getting a lot of their armor from their shield. The Lusitani don't get that but because they are heavy and very heavy entities wearing mail, they still have way more mass than the Suebi. This means that against other infantry one of the biggest threats to units like veteran shield warriors and Lusitani Nobles is that in a straight up fight where both units charge each other they suffer much worst when the precursors are exchanged. If they can avoid that and get into combat without taking too many javelins even with the lower armor and melee damage, their attack and defense are so high, and they are heavy and can't get tossed around (and push more effectively into enemy units) they just chop the crap out of stuff. I feel whether on purpose or not (I think it was) the Lusitani player did a real good job of getting his better swords into fight without being counter charged and also crucially not taking many precursors. This just let his angry Iberians go to town on the light Suebi units that need a good charge to fight something like that.

Loving all the Rome II battles!

Lusitani are one of my favorite factions. I would take Lusitani Nobles pound for pound against any other high tier sword. And their veteran shield warriors can punch well above their weight class if given the right engagement

What a great flank from Lusitani, seemed to take Suebi by surprise.

Lusitani and second Arevaci are without a doubt my favorite faction(s)! Just a fun play style that really helped me understand a lot more about the game especially with positioning and taking advantage of movement, flanks, shielded side vs unshielded and got me to appreciate guerrilla deployment troops.

Evening Heir. Was very impressed with the Lusitani player, the early advance on the left flank of the Suebi certainly paying dividends.

I just want to say Cali is a good player even thought this battle didn't go well with him. He is normally very good at setting the momentum.

Thank you for the video! Suebi general was distracted by cav so his fast charge would pop on no one and these was not used. I think I saw general moving back from main battle line as slingers were attacked.

Of course when heir starts uploading twr2 content, KZread seems to hide his channel. Heir it’s so good to see you back on this game!

I used to watch your videos when you played the historical total wars but stopped watching when you moved to playing warhammer as I cant stand it. Nice to see some rome 2 coming back. It'd be cool to see some dei battles as its alot more strategic than the base game which is much more arcadey
