I find the "Most powerful plastic explosive" scene to be pretty hilarious, especially when Van Damme tries to pull the trick again, before the terrorist gets punched. I honestly love that bit, I believe that was brilliant comedy timing by Van Damme.
Another amazing role for Raymond J Barry is the father of Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) in JUSTIFIED. The show was on FX and was fantastic.
Powers Boothe's voice was so villainously cool.
This movie reminded me of The Last Boyscout. Probably because of the sports content and 90's nostalgia. Great review as always you guys.

Reminds me of the Mighty Ducks. Same reasons.
So that's where the chicken fight in Family Guy comes from!
This was definitely one of those movies that has a super generic setup but pulls off a few key things that really make it stand out. Specifically the mascot scene and the dad-goalie switcheroo. It's cheesy as hell in concept but it ended up being rather enjoyable.
Simply awesome! I really enjoyed your review! Especially, when you talked about the scenes which appeared to be implausible! It made me laugh! :D
Fun Fact: A couple of years before this movie was shot Pittsburgh's team center Mario Lemeux had to retire due to a cancer relapse and his contract was so lucrative that they couldn't afford to pay it off all at once as per NHL rules so he essentially inherited the team and became owner/ceo in 1996.
It's a Die Hard Style Action Thriller Film From 1995 Starring Jean Claude Van Damme so it is Gary & Iain
5:45 "It's Van Damme, you're not gonna say no to him, are you?" Pretty much sums it up.
PLease do Outland! I think it's a much underrated movie. High Noon in space with a Scottish Marshal, set in what could be the Alien universe with production design that's as realistic as the Nostromo! :D
This film came out the year after Timecop

hell yeah dude!
I didn't grow up watching Van Damme movies but the mascot scene alone makes this film worth a punt. And Powers Boothe is always cool.

Terror Goes Into Overtime
Loved that intro Ian
Massive JCVD fan,and still love this film. Can still remember first seeing the trailer to it. One of Van Dammes best.
The film came out the year before Independence Day
Saw in theater and own his films
I remember this largely because I didn't go to see it at the cinema, either the action genre was exhausted with Under Siege its' last hurrah (and some would say The Last Boy Scout?) or I had just outgrown them.
A guilty pleasure and one of the first DvDs I bought.
I think this film being released In December 1995 really hurt its USA box office. I think a January 96 release would gave helped it more even tbough that month is quiet. Trailer too this i can still vividly remember first seeing and being hooked. As i did with a JCVD films think this came out in UK about April 96
This film came out the year before Broken Arrow
Great review you guys!

Timecop rocks!
Just re-watched this for the first time in a long time and it's badass... so brutal!
Big fan of Peter Hyams movies. I'm one of those people who consider Outland to be a cinema classic.
This film came out 6 years before 9 /11

*TURN UP*
Not a fan of this one. I find it a very mean spirited. I like a certain level of intensity in the violence of an action movie, but this flick seemed to relish in the suffering of those getting killed. But knowing that Sudden Death began life as a spoof, it makes sense. Adjust the tone of the movie and those deaths are darkly funny
Review Under Siege.
Woohoo! :)
This movie is garbage
I loved that they made his character a non martial artist.
