One may feel exhausted before, can not stand, need to sit or lie down. This can also be due to low blood sugar or low Blood pressure. Great explanation by Doctor.

My blackout was a dangerous situation. It was preceded by euphoria and lightheadedness and then everything went black. I was driving at the time and its a miracle I wasn't killed because I drifted into the wrong lane, hit something where there was a snowbank, and came out of it in the nick of time to get myself back on the proper side of the road. I am still scared and not driving and even though I went to the emergency department for a 12-lead EKG and CT of the brain but everything came back negative. My brother is a physician and he thinks it was a cardiac event and that I need a full workup to find what caused it. This can be very serious and very dangerous depending on what you are doing at the time of the blackout. I feel lucky to be alive...

I sometimes get my vision to turn completely black, giving me a headache, and making my legs become increasingly, in some cases making me just collapse. One time I was standing up, but almost instantly (to me) I was on the ground. My mom was there, and apparently I was visibly losing my train of thought and collapsed in the span of around 30 seconds. Dunno. My vision just blurs randomly. Yay

This happens to me a fair bit. I have hydrocephalus and when I was around 10 I fell down a hole at the beach after losing my balance and hit my head on a massive rock sticking out at the bottom. I ended up having to get my shunt replaced. I had massive lumps on the back of my head on both sides of my head. The lumps were as big as my hand (at the time,)! It took me around 3 months to recover. I missed alot of school!😢

Hi Doc, I did get a black out one time while taking care of my mom when she was sick. It came suddenly but before that it came, I felt a fast quick heartbeat like seconds and the next thing I know my brother was already trying to wake me up. I had a bump in the head after that although since then I haven’t had any of them until now but I’m still googling because I think I have developed ectopic beats after that don’t know if they’re related or it just paranoia and anxiety.. I need help and peace of mind. I have been listing and to all your vids to find answers I’m gaining more and more comfort.. I’m still on a journey of totally having peace. I plan to a cardiologist. My labs and ecg came out normal 2x. But I need an echo I guess

How😊 are you now? Eat something before bed like cheese or yogurt...honey and milk. Also. Dont sleep flat. Sleep elevated with pillows behind your back. Get out of bed slowly in the morning. .drink lots of water too daily. Adrenal glands can cause BP issues. If you're stressed and tired your BP will be affected.

Thankyou for your video , i suffer with black-outs and fainting but when I faint I will not be aware of this and I do not have any protection (finding safe place or putting hands out to cushion fall) and the only thing that wakes me is somebody talking to me ,my wife or a paramedic usually these last from 2 minutes to 20 if I bang my head during fall. But with blackouts I can remain standing that is if I am close to something to hold onto to stable my balance but if i do not find a safe place in 5 seconds it is to late and I will lose balance (I see black like you say but my hearing is still active ) and will last for 30 seconds to 2 minutes once again thanks for your video

this has happened to me 4 times in the past few years. recently it happened again except I didn't catch myself in time, just before I fully sat down I fell back and hit my head. My vision and hearing completely went out and I started shaking for a few seconds. All I could feel was movement but I had complete loss of hearing and sight for a few seconds. when I came too I was standing and walking less than a minute later, within 10 minutes it was like nothing ever happened. I went to the hospital and they found nothing wrong.

I got up on my own and was normal again although my head is still a bit swollen on the right side. I' am booked for an angiography next week. The angiography was booked before I fell. So the Dr is not aware of my fall. I am planning to tell him when I go in. Is that a good idea or should I rather bring it to his attention? 👋 from 🇳🇦

I believe on the first part of black out explanation because i suffered a major blackout twice my entire life at 40 yo. First when i was teenager sitting outside in squat position for long time and a did stand abruptly and I did black out. Lastly was when i suddenly woke up late at night and went i to the toilet and i was about to black out but i was able to ask for help and rush to hospital.

It happened to me. I was seated in a cafe in the morning. No warning. Suddenly, I a paramedic was over me, I was in an ambulance. At emergency room, I heard the paramedic telling the doctor I was out for about 10 minutes before they arrive. I don't remember much else, I don't remember intravenous needles put into the back of my hands. I remember being sent for MRI scan of the head. By noon, I was told by the doctor they could find nothing wrong with me, and I can go home. I went home on my own without any medication prescribed. I don't know what happened, as I didn't feel sick or dizzy before passing out. It was like I was anesthesiaed. I am well as if that episode didn't happen at all. I just don't know what I can do to prevent a recurrence.

Hi, my name is Morgan and I have always blacked out and collapsed. I’ve gotten used to it by now I normally try to sit down or grab onto something before I fall. But I always fall. Once I did it in front of my family and totally knocked down my dad’s foot rest on his chair they rushed me to the ER and I have to do to children’s mercy. I was only in 3rd grade so it was all pretty scary. I was confused because I thought everyone went threw this. I had to give blood every month at the hospital. After a little they thought I was fine and made me drink a lot of water. But even though I drink water...unless it’s dinner I have tea. But I’ve continued to Blackout and my parents don’t get way. They think I have low blood sugar or presser but I’m not sure. That same year I had Mono so I don’t know if that had anything to do with it. I wasn’t really in school that year.

Do people who get blackouts get any warning? Like a sudden dizziness right before they black out? I am talking like 1-3 seconds before they blackout.

Thanks, the first half of the video is something I been having for the last seven years, but the doctors don't seem to find out what is wrong with me. The put the heart monitor in me, but they found nothing. So I'll be seeing if drinking less tea and Dr. Peper and having more salt will help me, if it does than great I might have found out what is wrong with me. I have tinnitus for years, so I wouldn't know if that's part of the problem or not, but the lightheadedness and losing colour in my skin. But this happens both when I'm standing up or sitting.

I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism when I was much younger. For a few years I was on heart medication to slow down my heart rate. I didn't start blocking out until after I started university, I have a ton of anxiety around this because I don't want to have this one road, while driving, etc. I went completely blank while driving and idk if that is a minor effect of an actual blackout.

I have been experiencing the sudden collapses - as soon as I hit the floor I 'wake up' --- but the other day I was rushing to the bathroom but couldnt walk a straight line --- and collapsed into bathroom hurting my leg on tub - i dont think I fully blacked out. i do have left aorta valve insufficiency -- i also fainted 3 times in last week - sudden collapse no warning. not vaso vegal.

How about head rushes and no dizziness like after stretching and then stand up with arms out. I’ve always had this to some degree. And a few times in life If I’m laying down and get up real fast I get a head rush. Comes and goes very quickly is this bad?

For the first time I had a syncope episode this AM, and slumped over the stove while brewing coffee. It was just a few seconds, and I got some sea salt with water right after, and took my BP which was normal. Very scaring as I live alone. Imagine if it happens while driving? Please, help us to avoid this from happening again. P.S.: could this condition be related to pulmonary hypertension?

I'm trying to understand why I had a blackout just a few short days ago, I never had one before, in my 39 years of existence. I am a US Army veteran, I've been to doctors they never said anything was wrong with my blood pressure or even my heart. The blackout I had was sudden no warning and I was driving, all I can remember is getting in my truck but not driving it and it resulted in a crash not with another vehicle. It was with a tree a power pole then a mobile home trailer, then hitting my head on the steering wheel causes me to go unconscious again and I don't remember anything just waking up in ambulance coming more to my surroundings alertness in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. Rude ass cops believe that was under the influence and failed they're hgn test commonly the eye test they should have known that I had a head injury too and would failed the test. I am lost I don't know what caused this and I'm not diabetic for the low blood sugar side I had lunch and two glasses of soda got my truck and that's all I remember

I’m always experiencing fainting. Sometimes I m aware that I’m going to faint and try to find a chair to seat down. One time I was lining up and suddenly I felt all blood drained from my head down to my lower body and the cold feeling. Also one time I fell down and hit the wall but I didn’t faint immediately, and I wasn’t aware I’m already unconscious. I was sent to the ER and I have very low blood pressure and low sugar.

Hello Doctor, recently I collapsed could not speak above a whisper, and was sweating as if I was standing in the shower, could not move for a couple of minutes, also just before I felt strange very hot, sort of nauseous, this has happened a couple of times. The next day went to GP. Had bloods and ECG. Bloods were OK, bit of potassium but nothing to worry about it, Blood pressure was a bit high, ECG showed lbbb. Left arterial abnormality. Originally my GP wanted me to go to cardiologist but I don't have money so I am on waiting list. Also she doesn't think my collapse has anything to do with my heart. Any ideá then what its about. Thank you.
