Nice base, I've always done it with solar but I'd like to try out the geyser version as well

A great alternative are Nuclear Reactors. I've played subnautica about three times and i tried each way of producing energy, the nuclear reactor i liked best. They are a bit tricky, but if you can keep them fueled they produce about 2500 power per nuclear rod (the reactor holds 4 rods) that are relatively cheap and last a long time. They are very good mostly for big bases, the only problem being that you need uranite to make rods, however i didnt have problems with that during my playthrough. Please do consider it, best of luck!

Just made my new base there never knew there was a Geyser south of Pod 5 lol don't know how I missed it.

I have to figure out how to build there, since my pod is so close to the geyser.

Nice base bro do you know hich direction it is so I could build there too?

There is one north, but the best one is behind auroras engine, like just go south from your lifepod and you will find a wreckage

Currently having some trouble with power (since finding copper is annoying I rn settled on bioreactor and hope of oculus wanting to breed, or trying with gel sacks). Temperature seems pretty good here(something I tried to search for) and it should be actually quite cheap. Thanks for help.

It seems like I will probably have to go to Jellyshroom cave (very close and lot of gaysers). Kinda meh but at least I have stasis rifle. [edit-update on this] It wasn't really that far to place in video so I build it there. I have 2 generators and it helps a lot, might add another one in future and scrap solar panels(copper) along with bioreactor(takes a lot of space).

heres a good tip: make an scanner room and put it into the mineral who you can break to get copper (forgor the name) then make 3 or 4 range modules, boom then you will have MUCH copper after you break most edit: also make a module that will show where the ore is on your visor, helps a lot
