Good match! Thank you. For some future match, I'd like to see you in a SU-35 vs an F-35 in BVR, ideally both with AWACS and datalink. I'd suggest trying to mostly use passive sensors, when possible. The SU-35 should have at least 2x of the R-37Ms. Maybe more would be better, especially if you can get him on datalink? Perhaps this could take place over mountains, like those of Taiwan or Fujian, as the PLA has 24 of these too.

That's funny dude, you saying modern fighters aren't designed for gun fighting, and he wastes you in the first 2 rounds with guns, and then on the last. That dude can fly, find out who he is, and do more videos with him. Love watching how you learn from your fights and pull back to basics, if you can call it that or obviously just knowing your jet and your opponents. Think you should do the same for your opponents in your videos where if you are 3 for 2, give them a chance to learn how to kill you, if they can. Because 3 for 2 is closer to a draw than you just winning by 2 or more kills. Hope that makes sense. This fight was different because he dominated most of it, but for future videos, it would be great to see you do that. It's funny seeing him take bits of your jet off in that last round. Nice view of him taking those pieces off bit by bit. Great video man. Awesome choice to play those 2 fighters against each other, and seriously, find this dude and do more videos with them. He is looks like promising competition to fight against, not saying that everyone you have ever taken on is useless because they aren't. See if he can use multiple fighters like yourself. Anyway, sick video man. Keep them coming and use an F-35 against the SU-57 in BVR. Just curious why you won't fly an F-35? Do they not have the cockpit details yet where you can look through you fighter? Or is there another reason? Curious...........

It's amazing to me how fast the F16 seems to go from "ahh, I'm too slow, I'm in trouble here" to "ahhh I'm way too fast, I'm in trouble here" in the span of two seconds.

Whoever is flying that Felon is skilled in its use! That aerial flip during the first fight was amazing. His nose authority made him tough to get close to without risking a sudden nose over shot.

The Su-57 reminds me of early generation combat flight sims, where things like airspeed vectors, lift, and drag weren't taken into consideration, you just pointed the nose of your plane wherever you wanted the plane to go, or wherever you wanted to shoot.

It's more than just changing the thrust control system. You would have to modify flight laws, likely reinforce structure, increase weight due to structure and modified exhaust, increased wing loading change much of the handling. All of this to say, it would not be a Viper any longer.

@@sety5591 yes, you actually do. You would be inducing loads in a direction the nozzle support structure is not designed to support. It would have to support thrusts that are not inline with the airframe, and that's the bare minimum of change needed.

The way that SU-57 flies seems like the laws of physics doesn't apply to it 😅

For now, the Russians are only willing to let their Su-57s sling those long-range R-37 hypersonic missiles from deep within the safety of Russian-controlled airspace. They would never risk going to the merge.

just got into DCS with f-16 module , and have been watching all 10+ f-16 videos you've made in the past 3 years. watching intently for tips as always. What you say about the f-16 is very different then the talk I see on various forums, lots of complaints about the f-16 on a variety of fronts (radar seems the biggest offender).

They are correct about the radar. It isn’t the best, but it is good at BVR. One other thing is the amount of missiles it carries too.

There’s a new version of the F-16 that will be coming out soon that will have better performance, better radar, better avionics. Everything updated. Even the body shape will be different. Less sleek and beautiful than the classic body, but we’ll see how much better the engine is.

I just got into the F16 too, and I’ve been having a lot of good luck with the radar. Are you adjusting the antenna? That’s the biggest hurdle I’ve had to figure out

A nice editing touch GS uses on his vids is the black KIA screen and total scilence. It just adds a bit more impact to things. Its a nice touch

I think that he forgot that the F-16 could still be a threat to him, in round 3. That's why he gave you such an unmerciful beating in round 4. This really demonstrated why a 4th gen isn't really competitive, when its up against 5th gen.

Pretty sure that nobody can actually model the 5th gen stuff accurately yet since it's all classified, so at best it's just guessing. Dogfighting is great fun to watch though either way!

As always love your running commentary! So you lost 3 out of 4, do you think you could improve this or is this just the F16 vs. SU57 capability difference?

Felon is like a lethal leaf in the wind.

Could be some real world insights that could really impact a highly improbably confrontation but still I feel you revealed some real threats to avoid and a strong strategy to be employed if such a standoff where to happen.

Please start doing a round or two of "fox 2 combat" where you allow a good solid fox 2 lock to fire. Say if you've got 2 seconds of lock after merge.

This might be terrifying if we couldn't throw 20 F-16's at every Su-57!!😂❤❤

It would be over before the Apache got within 50 miles of the Felon though. Attack Helis are no match for a modern fighter jet with BVR missiles.

It’s amazing when a plane just pauses in midair and turn his nose around like that, and that handbrake turn initial D drift move lmao fucking sick

The skills are impressive. I only hope they would use some G-LOC limiting factors (or effects like blacking/red-ing pilot`s view) so that the pilots didn't keep pulling un-humanly G levels for such long periods without blacking out or passing out, as well as some airframe stressing to their aircraft. Otherwise, this ends up looking more arcade than simulator, unfortunately. On the F-16 HUD one can notice the G indicator around the 9 mark for long periods and multiple times without pilot having to recover between those. Besides that, it is still formidable a show. Loved it.

I'm curious: When you go to nose countering, are you just seeing the nose is just generally coming your way, and just change direction when you think it's lining up? Or do you have eagle eyes and know exactly where that nose is pointing? Because all I see watching is a nose coming around, but I can't tell if it's ON until the tracers are zipping by.
