Could The ENTIRE Russian Air Force Be Beaten By JUST The US F-16 Fleet? (WarGames 216) | DCS

Ойындар

Today we simulate the 900 or so USAF F-16 Vipers against the entire Russian Air Force. The F-16s rely on the modern AIM-120D3 and older AIM-120C missiles, while the Russians use the modern R-77M and R-37M as well as older R-77-1 and R-27 missiles.
*SORRY for my rough voice in this vid. I am long term sick. I am booked into hospital for scans in next few weeks so hopefully we'll find the problem/solution.

These battles should have some sort of AWACS protection. The AWACS, being the eyes in the sky for each side, would see the attackers coming for them and would immediately vector planes to intercept them or would at least have AA assets covering them. Both sides would know how important it is to keep these assets alive.

I want to say the reason it stayed even was the fact that the Russians were wheels up before the F-16's at least thats what it seems. If i'm correct in that it might've given the Russians a better chance at the starts when it was a few F-16's vs the majority of the Russian Air-Force (relatively) giving an initial Russian advantage (even though the Su-57 already did give a slight advantage which was showed by the the 57 immediately getting a couple of kills before being locked on). Then as the F-16's starts to gain traction in the fight enough to let other F-16's up in the air which also allowed the F-16's an advantage of still having munitions in comparison to the already winchester and retreating Russians. I will say i loved seeing the extremely slimey and slippery evasion that the F-16's were able to do (dodging at one point 4-5 missiles at once and still surviving) and it kind of proves why its one of the best aircrafts in the world. I would love to see the same thing however with the F-15's to see how kuch of a difference if at all it would be for the F-15 to F-16 and actually compare to who is truly better in air superiority

Dear @Grim Reapers This DCS simulation results corresponds to "official" information about the performance of weapon a or weapon b. As you can right now see , weapon systems like s-300 / S-400 are neither able to shoot down cruise missiles / storm shadow or the technicians are not able to do what their weapon systems are able. So i would say, the russian SU-35 and other types are not that good. We gonna see soon :)

  • @geraltofrivia8529

If we "See soon :)" then the first targets hit will be aircraft carriers by cruise missles, and thanks to the houthi we now know that american ships are unable to stop dodgy low tech missiles, let alone a swarm of 200-300 high end russian cruise missles. The loss of 2 or 3 aircraft carriers plus escorts will probably trigger nuclear launches. Because that is americas entire military doctrine gone. So if thats what you want to "see soon :)" Then we'll be seeing the sarmat 2 close up. I doubt russia would even launch their air force.

You know very little about level of sophistication of operations that ukrainians conduct. Almost every attack starts with overloading AA, shooting cheap crap and launching harms, probing different directions and finding weak spots etc. In perfect conditions storm shadow is an easy target for s400 but they dont exist in a real war. Same goes for patriot btw, Israel is ditching patriots since they didnt achieve much success against Iranian rockets, even though on paper it is not so

F-16 C/D do not use AESA radars, they have APG-68 (V)10 Pulse Doppler radar, US F-16 in real life is old, obsolete and have no AESA.. They are all inferior in all parameters against SU-30, SU-34, SU-35, SU-57 and Mig-31. In all versions of this fight Russian fighter would get the first shot fired and lots of first kills. Mig-31 would be a monster against F-16 when they could rise to max altitude and send all of their missiles against F-16 before they are detected and F-16 would have problem to intercept them on that high altitude before they gain max altitude themself. SU-57 would kill all AWACS before all this started, return home, rearm and killing more, and no, SU-57 is not super stealthy, it’s not, just that F-16 radars are obsolete. F-16 detected all Russians fighters way way and way to early, half of them would be shoot down before releasing a missile. The entire fight was made in a way to give USA an edge and removing all Russian edges in the form of long ranged missiles, altitude and radars.

There's a problem with your setup here, which should actually make the F-16 missile much more impactful. You excluded the bombers, and planes that aren't "front-line capable". In reality, such planes would be intended to launch at the same time, and come through to destroy the F16 airbases and/or other HVTs, while they're busy engaging the fighters. You would end up having to engage them as well, possibly even in priority over fighters in some cases.
