Looks exactly like my son’s hair 🥰& she’s right too. Shampoo times 2 (with a good shampoo) condition & detangle. Then finger LIBERALLY comb in 1 great styling product, blow dry & scrunch with a defuser & he gets 4 days of AMAZING curls & even get an xtra few days of decent curls by adding a curl rejuvenating spray for the rest of the week. Idk if anyone talks about these products cuz I’m new to the whole curly hair routine club lol but some of my faves for his hair are Mark Anthony Strictly curls perfect curl leave in treatment foam, it defrizz, define, moisturize, smooth & soften with great bouncy hold & no crunch. I also love “Lotta Body Wrap Me foaming mouse with coconut & shea oil” (it’s a blue liquid in a clear pump bottle) The first time I used that I was ASTOUNDED at the curls my son woke up with & we didn’t even blow dry that time! Every curl perfectly separated & defined with no effort at all! We also have the Dippity Do girls with curls curl boosting mouse (but it’s also a foam not a mouse) & tho it does work well it’s just not as WOW as the Lotta Body. I’ve also switched him to shampoo & conditioner generally used by the black community & that’s done wonders for his curls as well. Heck even I’ve started doing scalp cleansing/exfoliating & wearing a satin bonet to bed myself! I only have to wash my hair once a week now & as long as I follow through with the routine it looks great all week long

I am actually shook at how the bob has transformed your face. It just lifts you up!!!

ive actually straight up gotten to the point of just washing my hair with shampoo and conditioner and NO products afterwards. i use the tangle teezer, so it does style my curls, but the lack of product helps give it sooo much volume! sometimes less really is more

Same ! I Noticed when I layered up too much right after my wash it would be so flat and crunchy. Now I just keep it simple, air dry ,and add more product later if needed.

Same! After so many decades of using so much stuff and diffusers I finally just grew exhausted and decided to relax. I still spray on leave-in conditioner after towel drying but that only takes a few minutes and I can't believe the volume my hair has without layering products. I can't begin to tell you how freeing it feels. 😊

It’s been so nice to see that your curls actually got looser when you cut your hair rather than tighter like everyone insists all curly hair does. My hair loses curl when short and gets more spiraled when long.

Omg me too! My curls get looser when they are shorter, and it’s so hard to believe because most people are the opposite of that! I wonder why that happens to us?

This is my favorite styler, it holds my curl and I literally have like 6 bottles as back up. Ulta has sales on them.

Is it necessary to use a heat protectant if I diffuse my curls on low heat ? Hair is not colour treated and only heat I use is blow dryer on wash days
