I always played aggresive so once in a test match I decided to slow down a bit so I hit first 2 balls which were good length for six and four but then when I decided to leave one and it was tge sake ball so I got out like maxwell My friends still tease me for that I too cant forget it

It happened many times before in english cricket but there were no cameras back then , it was all in newspapers when a batsman gets out like that in test cricket , sometimes its misjudgement by batsman , in some rare cases its BRAIN FADING , means you lose concentration for a fraction of a second and they get freeze bcoz thy cant see or understand anything , in this list glenn maxwell and herschelle gibbs got brain fade , rest were cases of misjudgement

That was my first memory of such a misjudgement. Unbelievable. Followed by a backward running catch by Kapil. Sandhu's that delivery was the breakout moment for Indian cricket.

That Nuwan's leave wasn't stupid the ball turned more than expected, it would've been a wide.

It should have been given wide, regardless that it hit the stumps because of where it actually passed the batsman. If it had not hit the wicket it would have been wide, so it should still have been given wide and not out. Shows how stupid the leg side wide rule has become for the one day game.

Maxwell's is actually a really good ball. Watch in slow motion 5:50, the ball is on off stump having been bowled from around the wicket. Maxwell expects it go outside off. He gives himself room to hit over cover, the ball swings in and follows him, hits leg stump. His brain just couldn't adjust in time.

When you think of it a lot of these are more misjudgment than bad leaves The one with Hashim Amla is actually quite an impressive wicket Bowler bowled a deceiving doosra by the looks of it Unintentionally I'm sure but nonetheless a good doosra By the hand movement and spin on the ball you can tell Amla thought it would spin away from the wicket and it just kept going inwards and Amla was left defenseless Phenomenal piece of work intentional or not And the Ian Bell wicket was an arm ball I believe another deceiving delivery

Angelo Matthews one was unlucky, it actually deflected off his pad. Had the ball just struck his pad it pitched outside or on the borderline of outside leg so it possibly would've been ruled not out by DRS, but yeah it just rebounded off his pad onto the stump.

Left arm spinners round the wicket often bowl the "wrong one", to Amla, Jadeja's delivery looks like it'll spin away from him, but it goes straight. Not much you can do about such balls on spinning tracks except maybe leave only on the length and line. But Jadeja is often accurate and bowls a tight, wicket to wicket line and length.

I am amazed and surprised to see that all big and superstar batsmen like Hashim Amla, Angelo Mathews, Gibbs are in this list

The thumbnail is exactly the way Du plessis got castled by Shami .

The thing about number three is that technically it should have been called wide, as nearly everything is called wide down the leg side. The fact that it hit the stumps is irrelevant as it should be judged by the moment it passes the batsman. It just shows how ridiculous the interpretation of the wide law in one day cricket has become.

My favourite is Gordon Greenidge leaving B. S. Sandhu in 1983 WC only to be bowled.Haynes collapsed in disbelief! Till then I was haunted by my dismissal in similar fashion in an inter-club match. Got banned for 2 matches for showing off trying to imitate G R V. But seeing Greenidge dismissal brought some solace to me.

Both jaddu's and ashwin's wicket are not the stupidest. Jadaje in that match was turning every ball so beautifully and that arm ball did the trick. And ashwin's bowling was so intelligent, kulasekara didn't expect the ball to turn that much for an off-breaker's caram ball
