I would say it's unreasonable for any one person to know every single law. However, they certainly ought to be willing to find out the correct law on the spot without immediately assuming a law has been broken, clearly that was not the case here!

When he said come to the car and I'll show you the drone, I would have walked her indefinitely, every time she said "where are you parked I'd have said "up here" 🤣

Rules are not the same in every country, in the Netherlands you will have problems, some rules are slightly different. It's great to see and somewhere every drone pilot knows the rules that apply and the police often think they know better.

"My job is to deal with proper crime". I'm attending this incident on my day off.

It amazes me that police won’t attend a burglary or thefts of car but have time to attend a company for a legal actions

I wish someone could enlighten me on the matter of giving details to the police. They once asked me for my name and address, I asked if they suspected me for any reason and they said "no". I refused and spent the day in a police cell. It seems the police do as they please.

They can't arrest for not giving details except for a section 50 public order offence or when driving. You were unlawfully arrested and can therefore claim compensation depending on how long ago it was as there is a statue of limitations of 6 years for civil claims.

I love it when PJ is tough without getting angry. But he shouldn't give his KZread site name on the day, they are all just fishing including the "friendly" female guard. You don't have to show the police the flyer ID card. Big big mistake to let them take that card. The police are just on the side of the corporations. But policing (and medicine) for the public is rationed. He always tells the security guards too much if they are friendly. Best if PJ calls the police's bluff when they are threatening arrest unlawfully. The policewoman's English is not quite good enough and she doesn't know basic law about ID (shockingly). PJ made a few mistakes here, especially showing his car and helping the police with their enquiries. But it's always best for the video if he doesn't get into a big argument, he didnt here, but almost. Entertaining but enraging video. A complaint and legal action should be made. From an armchair fan.

What is interesting about these videos is that if the channel owner is good, as in this case with PJ, they will learn from each interaction and work hard to perfect the technique. The main thing is to stay calm and not let adrenaline cloud the application of logic. What helps, is inevitability of the cops' clueless interpretation of their version of 'the law'. Their default position is that anything they dislike is an actionable offence and for decades, they have got away with this abuse of power. Those day are over, thanks to brave citizen journalists like PJ and his sub-250 gramme drone 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yes, I can't decide whether I prefer PJ's open approach (doesn't hide his car reg, doesn't mask his face) or DJ's approach which is the complete opposite. I like both but they have a very different way of doing things. I'm inclined to think PJ's method simply takes the path of least resistance - if the police really want your details or to arrest you, they can just make up charges and then arrest you "on suspicion" of the act, and then it's game set and match for whatever they want to extract out of you.

Well; the repost is useful to me as a soon to be drone flyer. PSCO mentions causing alarm and distress....so that neatly answers those who ask PJ why he informs places before flying.. he cannot be accused of that issue. The rest is a sadly common lack of awareness of current regs and taking info from a on line site thats not updated. The female police clearly is not used to being challenged and became more and more agitated, hope she learns from this and has the guts to re train after havinbg her poor actions on line .

Causing distress is often quoted by know nothing plod. It is causing alarm, distress, etc through the use of, foul, abusive or threatening language or behaviour. Lots of things cause alarm, distress, etc but they are rarely unlawful.

The funniest thing about this one is once they found out you'd get Arial footage and give it them freely they were keen to let you do it and even wanted to make sure they could email you about it to get hold of the footage for their own use.

I wouldn't show her the drone. You have a right to anonymity in this country and you have a right, not to self-incrimination.

It's sad that they were determined to prove that an offence had been committed. It also shows that the Police are trained to be suspicious. Dear Madam, what did you prove?

That copper could argue with herself in a paper bag, even at the risk of running out of air...

At the end of the vid the “ strange” woman tells lies about the law. I like Focus Pocus statement when police start talking about suspicion, opinion without evidence . In order for an arrest to be lawful the cop needs reasonable grounds, suspicion in and of itself is not reasonable grounds.
