Stunning Scandinavian-Style in Off-Grid Tasmanian Tiny Home
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This weeks episode takes us to the spectacular wilderness of Tasmania where we visit a stunning, Scandinavian-style, off-the-grid tiny home on wheels. Here, Anna has built her dream home. Originally from Sweden, her tiny home is filled with beautiful elements of Scandinavian design which help to make the home feel snug and cosy. The single level design is open and makes the tiny footprint of the home feel expansive and the style works perfectly set amongst the wild backdrop of the Tasmanian forest.
Completely off-the-grid, the roofline of the home is dominated with solar panels. Batteries and a back-up generator ensure she always has enough power, even in the depths of the Tasmanian winter, where the light of the day drops below the towering tree-line. Ample water storage, collected from the roof is carefully monitored during the dry months and a wood-stove insures the home is always warm.
For Anna, this isn't just a home, it's an adventure. Here, she has been learning to live off-the-grid, connect with nature and the elements and branch out into growing fruit and vegetables on her tiny homestead. Beyond that, the home has helped to provide her with financial freedom and security for her up-coming retirement.
We hope you enjoy the full tour of this lovely tiny home.

Oh Bryce (and Rasa), how many years has this channel been around, how many times have you uttered certain phrases and then composed the perfect closing words summing everything up? I think I speak for your entire fanbase when I say that this channel - in a time when the internet is clogged with tiny home videos - remains unique because you have stayed true to a (seemingly) simple format and above all: even after seeing hundreds of homes and working on the subsequent films, you've lost nothing of your enthusiasm and authenticity. Every word is heartfelt and sincere, and that reaches us every time. Thank you so much for continuing your work and keeping this channel alive!

I love being older woman and living on my own with my pets. I am never lonely because I have wonderful friends and my son that I also keep close contact with. One of my friends is planning to buy a Tiny house and move onto her sons land and I feel as I do my research and after discussions with my son that I am going for a Tiny home too. 😊

This is the first tiny home that, despite only being 8ft wide, has a lounge area that looks amazing! Many of the others have a couch of some kind with a TV opposite - often with a TV console. Not only does the area look so small in those others, but the idea of making the TV the (often, big) focus is so claustrophobic. I love this home!

I love this one particularly because the host is clearly "not a spring chicken" anymore. I'm 40 and my mom is 69, recently retired. For years and years she's obsessed with work and I've been trying to tell her to balance things a bit and that there's more to life. Cheers, Bryce!

Anna has definitely achieved a sense of hygge with her beautiful interior space. There's a Scandinavian concept known as Swedish death cleaning, which is a process of elimination, downsizing and getting rid of your worldly belongings so that you can live more simply into your old age. This is the most practical and pleasant tiny home I've seen. Could live there if I was single. What a beautiful space.
Nice that you have been highlighting older people recently.
Normally I am not a fan of single level tiny homes due to space constraints, cramped interiors and small kitchens but wow, I think I am converted after seeing Anna's tiny home, it's functional, spacious, and everything just fits, the kitchen is functional, the bathroom has ample space and the bedroom really is one of the most comfortable looking I have seen in a while, the off grid system looks like a quality setup especially with a quality Victron inverter, the PV panel closest to the wood heater flue will probably get dirty quickly but easy enough to clean given the lower roof height. I have not seen this brand of heater as yet, amazing little design and really suits the Scandinavian styling. I will be moving off grid in Tassie very soon, I would love to pop in some time in the future and see you're lovely tiny home Anna, certainly one of this years most inspirational. @AnnaOffGrid - What a great home you have. I'm up there is age myself and the idea of a 'loft' bedroom flat out doesn't work for me. The only thing different I'd have to do is get a folding screen or some such to have my bedroom area private. I do counseling from my home and, well, it just wouldn't be groovy, ya know? I noticed the Ganeshas and got a big smile. I have a few myself as well as some other Hindu pieces. Oh I am more than a tad jealous about the land your home is sitting on. Wow, how great is that! It's flat out wonderful. Along with the views (for days) it affords you the opportunity to play in the dirt and eat tomatoes that....oh my.....taste like tomatoes! What a concept. LOL... Well I wish you all the best. Blessings, Kevin
