Hi I'm Wendy a resin artist and crafter.
In this video I am trying out Let'sResin Metallic powder.
This is not mica and as such works differently to mica powder.
It can be used in all sorts of things including glue and slime.
It is definitely different.
If you have any questions or comments, please use the comment section below and I will get back to you.
I hope you enjoy the video.
Thanks for watching

They all turned out great! I love the added cricut, beautiful finishing touch. You are right about the bronze looking like the copper. We used bronze, rose gold, reddish copper and dark bronze and a few others on our nightstands and there was very little difference between the bronze (that looked copper) and the rose gold that.. looked like copper too😂 Metallic’s are gorgeous alone or together. Mehron’ s metallics are great too, their gold feathers out beautifully with a heat gun. Practical projects are always good. Thanks Wendy!

I used to have a pub, so these are right up my street - a good bar tender relies on good tools. 😉 I have seen this mold pack & wondered whether to get it. I didn't, but seeing how fit together and how good they look, I may have to reconsider lol. Hi Wendy I really like the colours and the kits but being honest I'm not a fan of the Cricut additions. Can you top coat the backs to give a smoother finish or are they already smooth? As you said I think they would be great sellers at craft fairs. Another great demo Hun. Take care Wendy. Cheers, Huw
@Toonpish
Жыл бұрын
The back is smooth now I sanded down the sharp edges but you could definitely coat them if you wanted. I get your opinion on the cricut addition but some would say it brings to life 😂😂😂 Don’t forget you could add this powder to glue 🧐🤔 Me thinking pen inner tubes 😀😀😀 Thank you so much Huw 👍

🤔🤔🤔 actually I don’t know 🤷♀️ but I am going to ask 😀😀💜💙
Wonderful video! I'm a nail tech and I've been dabbling a bit with resin as I find that the two art forms are quite complimentary to one another. Also, resin pigments and chromes are so much more cost effective for the amount that you get vs nail supplies! I know this is an old video and you likely won't see my comment, but if you or anyone else who knows does, I'm wondering why at the beginning you said that you were skeptical of the bottle opener molds and thought they might be rubbish? I'm just trying to avoid spending money on anything that isn't worthwhile, so I would love your opinion! I love these Let's Resin powders, I got them recently and your description of them is right on! I also thought the naming was a bit off though😂 Anywho, wonderful video! I used to bartend waaaaayyyyyy back when and I would have loved having some pretty resin openers. I could have coordinated with my outfits! You have a lovely personality, thank you for sharing your art and knowledge with us.❤
@Toonpish
4 ай бұрын
Thank you so much Megan for your lovely comment 😀it was a joy to read 😀 The reason I thought they might be iffy at the beginning was so many moulds have parts that just don’t fit 😂😂 and also I didn’t know if they would work. But for once I was wrong and they fitted and worked well. I agree about the crossover too. It’s very similar. But nail art is way too fiddly for me 😂😂 You are talented if you can do that for sure. I hope that answered your question. I read every comment and try to answer as many as I can 😀💜👍

@Toonpish Crafts and @Sharon Jones Hello Wendy and Sharon! First off…Wendy, what a beautiful project and I LOVE your channel! I just wanted to add my 2 cents here because of Sharon’s question. I’ve used these powders in several projects, and I don’t know if it is the differences in resin or what (even though I’ve used a few different brands and even different types of resin), but I have noticed that these powders can rub off of the final piece a bit over time, especially if the pieces are handled often or are consistently touching things where they move around quite a bit (like jewelry pieces touching skin), so depending on the intended use of your final project, I would suggest using at least one coat of your preferred sealant, just in case. That’s my experience anyway. Good luck and happy crafting!

What does anyone have good luck with these? I tried three different resin one that was the flexible. Hard and hard and just a regular resin. I waited a couple weeks so it wouldn’t crack and everyone did crack and I just pulled one out from about a year ago and it seems pretty stable, this is some thing I don’t know if I could sell because my tests have been inconclusive, actually more negative than good. Anyone else?
