Blimey they took there time to move off, i felt very sorry for the Gurkhas and the Rifles Band standing there in ranks in the heat of the sun in those uniforms that make them sweat and get dehydrated. If they are not going to move off for ages probably waiting for some prat officer from Sandhurst to arrive in his place, then the soldiers should be back in a air conditioned room until the officer is ready to move off. Those uniforms are very heavy and not really suitable for hot weather. I saw a video that was done exactly on a very hot day in Scotland where the Scottish regiment was doing the exact same thing but in more summer time uniform where the Regiment marched in short sleve shirts and there kilt. I used to drive trains through North Camp. You could always identify Ghurkas. Even in civvies they are in uniform.

Ghurkas just the Name makes a man shiver. Some Very Very Skilled Individuals Honed into a Death Machine.
