"Mornings are a 'no-talk-to-me' zone"... Gosh, that's such a mood. Imma a need that on a t-shirt that I'll wear to sleep everyday. Every. Day. That last one with getting sidetracked with research when asked about a movie, I can totally relate. As a 4w5 writer, I'm either stuck in imagination station (type 4) or analysis paralysis (type 5); I'm surprised I get any writing done at all. I really want to do an experiment where I wake up as a different enneagram type each day and write down my findings. It'll help me with character research. Now, if only I can just "do the thing". Another great one, Abs :-D

As a Type 6 with a heavy 5 wing, the "Do you want to watch informational KZread videos?" Along with "Ugh, I need alone time..." struck several notes with me. Here's another Type 5 thing: studying Welsh and Flute. The only reason is that it's all for the sheer fun of learning 😂

Haha, as a 4 with the 5 wing, I related to so much of this! No more than one event a weekend and don't talk to me for a while in the morning (at least until cup two of java) among others. 😂 🙌

Yes! I read the ingredients and nutrition on everything AND always feel but don't say "don't rush me". My time is precious and I'll use all my energy focusing on you when I get there... whenever that is.

damn...I'm the same way. I think some people like to make jokes as if being an extreme introvert is cool but it's actually quite inconvenient and I would much prefer the alternative if it meant I got more completed in life.

Spot on with the filming part. I literally have to be forced to take pictures and will disappear or hide behind people or walls just to not be in one. That I'm short helps very much.

I love your videos so much! I saw myself in like 90% of these quotes, but the food ordering rehearsal was the one that really hit home! These days I usually just write it down so I don’t feel like I have to practice it so much. I do that when I have to talk on the phone to schedule an appointment or something as well…wouldn’t want them to think I’m dumb if I say the wrong thing.

"that logic is fraud" is my most used line in every argument.

As a 4 with a heavy 5 wing, something that I say often that feels very 5ish is: "that question is WAY too broad, it has like a million answers and I don't have all the time (or interest) in the world to explain them all to you. Be more specific."

As a 1w9, my automatic 1 response to this was, "But... but that's OUR thing..." and then my 9 wing swoops in and says, "But we can share it!" :) I do see some behavioral similarities between types though, which is why we ultimately look at inner motivation.

@@cmpicha2934 The difference is that the 1 says it because it's the "right" thing to do; whereas, the 5 says it because it's the "logical" thing to do. :) It's shared... sort of. lol

@@ecviets that totally makes sense. I found a video last night that covered all the mistypes for a type 1, which I think said something similar about the 1 and 5. And I tested pretty high on the type 5 as well, so it's just helpful to know the similarities and differences anyway :)

How dare you! I do not sound EXACTLY like this when I interact with my friends and family; who, in fact, tell me your video is spot on representation of me😅. Now let me drink my perfectly heated pour over coffee alone…in peace.

I'm a 4 type with a 5 wing, and all of those were extremely relatable, which is already making me question if maybe I'm a type 5 with a wing 4 instead.. but.. I'm pretty much very emotional, and stuff. So yeah. Who knows.

OMG!!! We lived in freakin’ New ZEALAND for a year-what did this 5 do? I studied every aspect of wool, took pictures, and made a photo book about the sheep industry. Learned to spin wool-so the sheep shearing conversation sounded JUST LIKE ME!!

Also, have done the "let me look that up" (have 3 monitors I work on if that makes sense). And the "ew... ppl"-thing, turned around and went home to listen to lofi music. Great look at 5, Abbey, esp the hidden destinations arguement; they just didn't look!

As a 5w6, I found a lot of these relatable. I am pretty monotone, but the words were somewhat relatable.

Fellow fives, can you list the topics you have an in-depth knowledge of and not just dabbled in? For me it would be: comics, comic collecting, fitness, criminology, psychology, telecommunications, building computers, and theology specifically Christianity and Buddhism.

I'm a 7 and my is a 5 (and INTP) He and I do watch a lot of documentaries, most of which he's found. I'm lucky that he loves my exuberant energy. And he LOVES peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Socializing is too damn easy for me but I only socialize when I’m obligated to be some place. Otherwise I’m completely isolated by choice. -Type 5

Ack, I feel called out! Approximately 80% of what you said/did was on point for me personally. I'm a 5w4 or 4w5 (the tests I did place me as either type 5 or type 4, almost 50-50 in the most precise/longest test I could find, so it seems I'm stuck in between those 2 types).

Hahaha That's me!! Yep! I have a blend between 4 and 5 types ...but yeah, 5 it's my vibe. I took two enneagram test with different questions and get the same results. The 3 types with more percentages were 5, 4 & 6. I need to buy some books and do more research but 5 and 4 resonates so much with me. Great video!! 😊✌🏻

Once I was going through a period so stressful I was practically numb, and the only thing that calmed me was language study. Nothing helped me like that-shows were too emotional, books too much info, people, no way, but conjugating verbs and learning new vocab - yesssss. my xanadu.

I’m a four, but I also relate heavily to the logic and knowledge desire of the five! I’m technically a four with a three wing but maybe I’ve got a little bit of a five wing in there, because I’m super research oriented, objective, especially when it comes to planning and making decisions. My impulsive emotions can sometimes play a factor but as I’ve gotten older, I’m super interested in thinking things through heavily and I do need my alone time to recharge. Cool, how we all have a little bit of each personality type even if it’s not our dominating type!I’m also good friends with a type five and she is exactly like this

I have a friend who is a five, and I’m a nine, when asked to make a decision, we simply…cannot. Well, the difference is she’s content in pretty much every situation, so _logically_ someone who isn’t content in most situations should choose, but _I_ am too scared of making the _wrong_ decision to make a choice. XD it’s a cycle… It’s kinda funny, I was really wary of her when I first met her, because she often used the phrase, “Oh, I’m good with anything.” A phrase I know all to well. But she seriously means it! She says that she’ll make herself clear if she doesn’t want to do something, but the only thing I’ve seen her uncomfortable with is interacting with strangers, or people around her interacting with strangers. XD

God damn I am a 7 but I also scored very high in 5 and 9. I relate to a lot of these. I don't know how to explain the chaos within me, but really close friends, creating things, and nature seem to be the cure lol.

9's get mistyped often as 5's, and not the other way around. I'd recommend looking at your integration and disintegration arrows. If you reckon you're likely a 9, look at type 3 as your integration point and type 6 as your disintegration. And the 9's I know tend to seek harmony and aren't prone to anger (or even much aware of that emotion) whereas a 5 is more naturally aware of their inner anger and frustration and can be provocative when pushed or at lower levels. My two cents on the matter and definitely not comprehensive on differentiating between 9's and 5's. I just wanted to share as a 5. Ain't no way I'm a 9.

shit. I was so captivated by what she was saying about the new star cluster that I was annoyed it cut. lol. I feel so called out by this video. Once an editor asked me to write an article on a subject that merited several years of investigation. Here I am, 5 years later and still haven’t written it because I am still pondering this complex topic. A few others: “I KNOW.” (which I’ve been saying since I was about 5, he he). and the answer to every question: “Well, that depends…” (and have you got 45 minutes?)
