You look summer-ized, a golden glo! And yes, I love your wonderful rambling, you'd be amazed how much info there isn't on the web that you share so candidly- or if it's there, it's not put forth in such an easy, informative - but not boring- fun, yet REAL (no condescending) way. You seem approachable and that is compelling- AND, I have learned so much, and been SUPER motivated to get my own creative jewelry-making mojo ON (i.e. don't do one bezel at a time..silly girl!) after watching your Vlogs. One more word to you: Mahalo!

M, I think maybe you might have some luck with NOT hearing the camera focus if you used a personal mic (clipped on to your shirt or...), that way the camera's mic on it's body might not pick up that sound so much. Just an idea (I asked a friend who does news filming...). Hope that helps :)

Gabby Flying Chef Unfortunately that is just the camera a microphone won't cancel out the shutter noise. Since film making is more of a hobby right now I dont plan on getting a separate camera for filming.Maybe in the near future :)

I'm always curious where others buy most of their materials and the stocking process that others go through because mine seems so sporadic. I always seem to need something I don't have when designing (like the extra thick half round wire you mentioned.) Do you have a system that you use when you stock your materials? Do you have a basic set of materials you design from and keep them stocked or do you buy material as you design? How do you keep from having too much of the wrong materials on hand/have what you need when you need it?

+Jessalyn Massingill Thanks for watching Jessalyn, I would say that I buy silver once to twice a month. I keep a list of what I am getting low with and each time I order I purchase whats low in stock. I don't have any fancy buying methods, sometimes I run out because there are so many supplies I use. Then I'm always like oh shit lol! I try not to stock a lot of something I may be testing out. I have my regular used silver supplies. Hope that helps xo!

I'm a big fan. I've learned a lot from your silver smithing.I'm feeling really over whelmed now with allll this info on here. I had an Etsy store for a short while, when I was just beading. I'm a recent, fast learner, self taught jewelry maker, and when ready, I feel I'd like to reopen my etsy store. But allllllll this stuff your talking about... Instagram contests, wholesale Etsy, and all those other thing, that has turned my 55 yr old, ADD brain off. Now I feel like without all this confusing stuff, I can't be successful with an Etsy store. Why do you say your line isn't specific enough? 40 items.??what if I just want to sell something different all the time. I do not want to conveyer belt.... I'm a retired stage artist, now using this as my art, and feeling worried.

+huskyfluffy Thanks for watching! I throw around a lot of info in one video, these are all just ideas and things you can try out or dismiss. These videos are really meant to just show the different aspects of business I am doing in my daily routine. Don't focus too much on contests, etsy wholesale if your just starting out in metal or reopening a shop. I would say just stay focused on making good products, photos, and finding a few places to advertise. It sounds like you really enjoy making One of A kind pieces then go for it. Everyones formula for success is different. Don't feel worries, what I say isn't bible it's just information that is out there for any small business owner that is selling artisan goods. You can expand to social medias like instagram or wholesaling or just create and have fun. As long as your having fun. Best of luck xoxo!

Gabby Flying Chef I use to use a brass gauge for a long time but I love digital calibers most all brands I'm sure work fine. I bought mine locally at Michaels and I love it. I just needed to replace the batteries during this video to get an accurate read! :)

At about the 17 minute mark, you mention liking to polish the inside of your ring shanks with your flex shaft instead of your polishing machine out of preference. Is it possible to polish the inside of a ring shank on a polishing machine? Can't understand how it would fit.

+rachel dida There is an attatchment you can put on that is cone shaped (think ring mandrel made of felted type material) where you can load some compound on to it, and spin it around to polish that way. I forget the name of it :(

+Amaranthine Thank you for watching!! Sorry not sorry hehe glad you loved the cock ring lol!! I may have addressed it in a more recent video, I just took local course for a few years, and once in a while get private lessons from a goldsmith. Mostly just learn on my own at this point. I am interested in continuing my education through weekend workshops in NYC to develop more skills. Thanks again for watching xo!

the secret is out. cock rings are in. must. distribute. immediately. ;) you could add these little (big) guys to your etsy shop and to consider those that might take offence to it, simply have the gallery photo be "a-gentle-warning" so that buyer must click on the item to actually view/purchase the ring. don't leave the rest of us hanging... :p ps. I enjoy your vlogs!!! x
