Some of the channels are indeed sampled sounds being synth'd in to the group. The keyboard player (who incidentally is the 2nd composer for the show who's handled the music for Season 4 onwards) is actually handling a lot of the instruments coming from outside of what the displayed group has and most of the sounds and tracks that are beyond the visual group are coming from the keyboard in the form of synths. He's also running a loop pedal up there, which is how they got that first singer's voice to overlay their own voice during the climax of the song.

Yes most Lyrics are in German as are the Names of the Characters in the Show. As a nativ German Speaker it is really hard to understand .The pronounciation seems to be very hard for Japanese People. Guess would be the same , me trying to speak japanese. The Distrortion on the Song with the third " Song " fits perfectly and is needed . When you watch the Show and the Track " You See Big Girl /T:T " starts , you know something terrible is going to happen. Ohh and BTW I get Tears in my Eyes every time i watch this , it never gets old

Its both impressive that you are able to pick up on the tones & mood of each song so precisely and also that the composer managed to nail the tone & mood of the scenes in the anime in which they are played. Well done and great reaction! Other AoT tracks I would highly suggest listening to are: - Guren No Yumiya - Ashes on the Fire - The Rumbling - Call of Silence - The Weight of Lives - The Reluctant Heroes - Call Your Name - Zero Eclipse - Name of Love - Shogeki - Vogel Im Kafig - Red Swan - The Other Side of the Sea -The Warriors Honestly you could pick any piece of music from AoT and you are in for a good time. It's all just so good.

Glad you could really get into this performance of these songs. They are truly emotional tracks to experience as music alone even without all the context from the story which somehow makes it more intense
21:18 the Ost is called "Counterattack mankind" and its one of my favourite, the calm yet adventurous sound that slowly start to unfold in the first half totally depicts the mysterious world building of the show (what lies outside these Walls where huge giant maneating titans roam?) and as humanity finds a way to fight them back for the first time in written history they feel hope, as if the sun starts to rise up at the horizon and the first sunrays start to shine at them. the small glimpse of hope, that this long night filled with nothing but horror might find its end at this exact moment. the music sounds exactly as this overwhelming hope must have felt. Hiroyuki Sawano is a true virtuose!

Some dialogue from parts of the songs that I remember from these songs. Any other AoT fans remember these? 8:35 - We're both hoping for the same thing. To settle it here once in for all. Humanity or Titans?! Which side will like?! Which side will perish?! 16:52 - (This one is more a visual, I think everyone knows what happens here) 21:19 - ..With this, we've taken one more step towards the truth. One day we'll break it down. This wall hiding the truth....will fall. 24:19 - This is a very strange feeling... I don't feel scared at all.. I can see everything clearly. I feel like, no matter how this all plays out, I can accept whatever happens. That's right.. nobody's in the wrong. There's nothing we could do. Because this world.. is just.. ..that cruel.
Now this is just one suite, most of these songs were made for the third season. Imagin all the pieces made since the begining till the end. Hiroyuki is a beast, you should check his other works: Seven Deadly Sins, 86, Bubble, Guilty Crown, Kill la Kill, re: Creators, and (Will come out next year) Solo Leveling.
