    Babymetal choreography is always either a direct expression of the words in the lyrics or an interpretation of them - like when they hold up their pigtails or hang their arms like puppets, which are to express the lines about a schoolgirls' pigtails being undone to let their hair hang free for the concert they are going to, as the song describes, and the fans at the front hanging over the barriers, exhausted after the gig. Legend 97 is a reference to the year when Su was born, though this gig took place on her 16th birthday, in 2013. The finale to this show is about as Metal as it gets and their use of symbols in it is outstanding - Babymetal DEATH. 🦊🤘🤘🦊

    You're the first reactor in a loooong time that mentioned how much thought goes into a Babymetal choreography, specifically with their pulling up their pigtails. It is quite refreshing that a metal musician now appreciates dance choreography because of Babymetal.

    After one of their Tokyo Dome performances in 2016. But that's still just a rumor, of course there wouldn't be any official information about something like that. But to be fair, the Black Night Ending with Megitsune, Headbanger and IDZ and a very long victory round where the instruments played freestyle all back to back must have been so exhausting for everyone.

    Headbanger is a song that tells story of 15 years old girl became a headbanger after her first metal concert. And the creepy atmosphere in the intro, if you linked that to the creepy feeling in MEGITSUNE, you would know the girl would have hell of a journey with metal music. That's why Headbanger is not necessarily to be as banger enough for you.😁 To me, the following 4 songs are the 4 chapters to tell how an ordinary girl became a fox goddess. 1) Megitsune 2) Headbanger 3) Akatsuki 4) Babymetal Death Song 2 to 4 is also known as trilogy of Babymetal Death. Road of Resistance is the trio carrying the missions from fox god, open the gate of a castle, the audiences made the way, then the trio riding horses to where so ever.😌😁

    Great double reaction / analysis, thanks! "Even their hairstyles are thought to be a part of the freaking choreography" You have no idea! Their hairstyles, even now, are a big deal. For your peace of mind, Moa (the one on the right) is still with BABYMETAL. And I can tell she's a force of nature on stage. 😁 Su-metal putting the crowd's chants back in tempo right before the drums come in, is one of my favorite parts of this performance. Chronological orders sounds good to me. But you can also intercalate some of their newer stuff just to better notice the huge step on their evolution if you want. Until next time!

    So, to answer some of your questions: Legend 1997 refers to the year SU was born, and that show was held in 2013, for her 16th birthday! For Road of Resistance the guitar parts were still written by Babymetal, Herman Li and Sam Totman did the guitar arrangments and they played the guitars on the studio recording! THey also played this song live together at least once, at an award show. Herman Li spoked about how he had to modify several times their parts before Koba ( BM's producer) was sarisfied xD Herman Li praised the Kami Band how they interpreted the song and how they played it live! If you would like more songs with elecronic vibes, there are plenty :D From the first album: - "Iine" official MV - "uki Uki Midnight" live at Budokan 2014 From the second album: - "From Dusk TIll Dawn" live at Budokan 2021 There are plenty from the fourth album, but i would leave that for later :D

    Great reaction. These young women, and the Kami’s are so talented. I liked Su-Metal’s voice as a child, but she has matured so far beyond that level it’s unimaginable. Even though she is only 25 years old today (not the video), she has been performing professionally for nearly 20 of those years. Combine that with the most varied discography and perhaps cleanest vocals of anyone; well that’s how you get a Queen.

    Yep, you're right, you're into the Foxhole now 🦊🤘🔥 Glad to see you're back with this great set. Another nice reaction, and just like you saw the party on BM live concerts is wild, especially with this song becoming super fun into something like a cult.👀 Today they ended the Sabaton's Europe Tour, everyone were having a blast with them coming back to the stage in this live tour and more is coming such the Babyklok Tour in the US along with Dethklok and another return to UK and Europe for a headline tour. Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! is one of BM fans favorite and got special meaning too. Song is about a 15 years old girl celebrating her birthday going to her first live concert, probably metal, while having melancholy for leaving her childhood behind. Isn't about any of our girls but they embraced this song like it was made for them, you'll find many special versions of this, even when they celebrate their 20th Birthday. 15 is an important coming of age for Japanese girls, 20 is another important date. This was at Legend 1997 (that's the title of this live concert referring to SuMetal birthyear and yeah is the same concert you saw them performing Gimme Chocolate!!) in 2013 celebrating SuMetal 16th Birthday, and the whole concert was special, if you want to know the rest of the songs finishing this, those are: - "Akatsuki" Unfinished Version, a beautiful SuMetal solo version with only a piano behind, the original song is a power/speed metal balad - "Babymetal Death", be ready for this insane ending, The live concert and also this song got plenty of tributes to the greatest metal bands, like Metallica and X-Japan, specially Yoshiki, the gong at the end is one of those, you'll find more and plenty of this to add to their lore. The official MV is also creepy for some fans, I guess the organ gave that effect, you'll also see the neckbrace there for the first time which is a tribute to Yoshiki from X-Japan. Another thing that you don't see so much here in their live performance is, when YuiMetal and MoaMetal are having fun with cryo or smoke gun, the choreography on this part is with them down on their knees and doing the "dogeza hedoban" which is like bowing down back and forth summoning the metal spirit represented by the neckbrace while SuMetal is standing with the mic rise up and her relentless death stare, that's another moment we called -NotACult- The Kami Band here are insane set of elite musicians who were send to help with the metal sound, "kami" means roughly "god", they're wearing burial white robes and corpse face paint to represent those spiritual entities. They rotate so probably you won't see some of them in all live concerts (especially the guitarrists). They are: - Míkio Fujioka, god of guitar, a beloved member, sadly he passed away in 2018. (R.I.P.) - Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording some albums tracks. - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but her fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP. You can see at the end (when SuMetal is crawling upstairs) his head got written "Happy Birthday". - Hideki Aoyama,, god of drums, he comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father is very famous in Japan music scene. I would love if you can go with the rest of the songs of this special live concert but if you want another song that ranks high as a favorite you can watch: - _"Ijime Dame Zettai"_ live at Sonisphere Festival 2014 and you can witness a turning point in their career and a different type of live performance unlike this one with big top notch production. Kitsune up and see you next time!🦊🤘🔥

    12:18 _Now Pizza Time! (Pizza Time!)_ 🦊🤘🍕 No doubt this is one of the greatest hits when performing live and that's why they finish the concerts with this song, just like recently at Sabaton's Europe Tour each one of the night performing. "Road Of Resistance" is a power/speed metal song, is one of their most epic anthem and the album version got the guitar arrangements made by Sam Totman and Herman Li from DragonForce, and is all about facing your own path without looking back. The wall of death is insane just like you noticed, is also called "mosh'sh pit", different from usual mosh pit because this one is safe to participate if you fall everyone will stop until you get up and get ready to keep going with the fun ride. This was part of the Trilogy Of 2015 series of concerts, live at New Year Fox Festival - Saitama Super Arena, is the last song of the encore they performed and finishing the show. By this time their fame was already high due to viral success on YT of Gimme Chocolate! MV, people from all over the world attended this live concert in Japan, and 20K souls witnessed this epic moment. With only 15 and 17 years old this moment will be forever remember when they performing this song to reminds them all the support they got from their fans no matter where they go, either a small or big stages. BM fans love some members of the Kami band but none of them are official members of this group not even permanent, they only play live, so when you heard album tracks remember they aren't playing there. In this case they are: - Takayoshi Ohmura, god of guitar, he's Míkio' Fujioka's pupil (another beloved Kami Band guitarist who sadly past away) and a prodigy child, you'll see his recognizable pink guitar or golden in other moments. - Leda Cygnus, guitar. - BOH, bass. - Hideki Aoyama,.drums. At the end of their shows they always said "We are BabyMetal!" with the crowd, to making them sure that they're part of this show and project too, is a line borrowed to X-Japan saying it at live concerts too. If you like this type of metal genre then you're gonna love another previous song from first album called *"Ijime Dame Zettai"* live at Sonisphere Festival 2014 and witness a precious and epic moment on their career. You can find that clip in the official channel but just be careful coz sometimes is getting blocked issues. Thanks for sharing this double feature. See you next time and don't forget to put your kitsune up! Hasta la próxima!🦊🤘🔥

    You mentioned Marty Friedman, when Marty goes on tour who do you think he takes on tour to play with him live ? Yes, one of the Kami band members. Just look up the video: Marty Friedman Vs Takayoshi Ohmura - Live Guitar Duel In Madrid. It's a good example of them playing together. Marty Friedman, who now lives in Japan for maybe 20 years already ? He was the first 'western' metal musician or maybe even any metal musician (I would have to check the timelines) who encouraged and helped promote Babymetal.

    Great double reaction. I'm sure you have been told, but Legend 1997 was the concert title - it was December 21st 2013, the day after Su-metal's 16th birthday, she is the Legend of 1997, it was the year she was born. They did a concert 6 months earlier called Legend 1999 to celebrate Yui's and Moa's 14th birthdays. If you want entirely electronic BABYMETAL perhaps you should watch the opening ceremony for Legend 1997 ... look for BABYMETAL 'Ave Maria' (it may be listed as 'Ava Marie') as that has the 'Night of 15 Headbanger Re-mix' ... and follow that up with the closing ceremony 'BABYMETAL Death' live at legend 1997 to see what happened to the statue at the back of the stage. 'Headbanger' is about a girl going to her first concert on her 15th birthday, but lamenting the fact her childhood has passed by so quickly and life will never be the same, so she is etching this special night into her heart. When Yui and Moa held up their pigtails the lyric was talking about "...legendary long black hair...". 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. Moametal is the girl with the biggest smile, it was Yuimetal with the chubby cheeks who sadly left the band in 2018. That performance was in January 2018, Su was 17, Yui and Moa were both 15 and that was over 20,000 people completely under their control.

    Some months ago Herman showed the guitar, on which he has played his parts for the studio version of "Road of Resistance", during one of his live streams. It's an absolutely beautiful piece of kit! Regarding their guitar players: Two of them, Mikio Fujioka (RIP) and Takayoshi Ohmura, work(ed) as instructors at the ESP Academy. As far as I know, Fujioka also was Ohmura's former guitar teacher.

    Very fun reaction! In reference to the Headbanger performance, it was the first part of a trilogy of songs at that concert that some of us refer to as the Trilogy of Death. It's the final three songs of that concert that loosely tells a story of battle (Headbanger), loss (Akatsuki Unfinished version), and death (Babymetal Death). In the early days of Babymetal there was a lot of lore related to the battle of metal vs idol music. Basically Headbanger represents the fight against the pop idols (even though the song itself is about a 15 yo girl going to her first metal concert). Akatsuki (Unfinished ver.) represents the losing battle and is an absolutely beautifully performed ballad by Su (and has brought tears to the eyes of even the most hardened metalhead). The finale is Babymetal Death where...I'm not going to ruin it because you just have to see it to believe it, and I guarantee you will not believe what you what goes on. Just make sure you get the complete performance from the Legend 1997 show.

    Legend 1997 is in tribute to Su's birth year. This video was shot the day after her 16th Birthday. When she climbs the stairs at the end of the song, you can see Happy Birthday on the bassist's head. Moa and Yui are 14 in this video. I don't have a favorite BM song, but this if my favorite video version of this song, followed by Moa Banger when Moa turned 20. the song is about a girl going to a concert on the eve of her 15th birthday (frequent use of the word s Ichi go) In japan 15 is like a coming of age. The person is now considered an adult and in the song, the singer is basically saying goodbye o their childhood. For Road of Resistance, the guitar arrangements were in fact written bu Herman Li and Sam Totman of Dragonforce. The song is about forging your own path, not necessarily the easiest path. I believe this video came out in 2015 meanuing Su was 17 at the time and Moa and Yui 15/16

    'Road of Resistance' was the 15th and finale song after a 1.5 hr concert in front of 20,000. Yes, Herman Li and Sam Totman both colloborated on this song. They played the guitars for the studio recording. 5:46 That is guitarist Mikio Fujioka who was only 1.58 m tall. So his hands were not large or has long fingers. He was nick named 'Ko-Gami' (The Little God). Sadly he died in a tragic accident in Jan. 2018. He was only 36.

    @jeremyboynowski3784 Жыл бұрын

    So to answer your question, in my honest opinion, you should probably continue doing the songs in a somewhat chronological order. My logic/reasoning is very simple. There aren't as many videos made yet of Babymetal doing the actual shows with the new songs, so getting live shows is a little harder right now for the new stuff unless it's the offical music video version in which case they tend to plaster the studio version of the song overtop of a performance. Most of us agree it's better when you can hear Su live. She just sounds better live than recorded in studio where they "tweek" her voice. I wanted to touch on a couple of things you mentioned. First, the part where you paused the video and were amazed that Su did all that choreo and then started singing again. I think you're the first reactor to notice that. I've always been kind of amazed that she seems to be able to do that so effortlessly and precisely. Nobody has noticed that before until you mentioned it. So it kind of caught me off guard when you mentioned that! Second. So the part of the video when the girls were walking down the cat walk and you paused the video and mentioned that Moa was having the time of her life and you hoped she wasn't the one who left. Well you were correct. She stayed with the Band. It was Yui, the second one you pointed out after that had to leave for medical reasons. That being said, Moa is very extroverted, but Yui is very much an Introvert. She is actually pretty shy and I'd almost say bashful. So for her to even BE in the band, attests to her courage and strength of character to face her fears and challenge herself. So while maybe it's better that she was the one who left the band, it's also saddening as I was always so proud of Yui for trying to step out of her comfort zone and do what she normally would probably try to avoid almost, even though she WAS part of Sakura Gakuin, it is quite obvious she is introverted by her demeanor. That being said, as you saw later one, Yui was also having a lot of fun. This was also the last song of the night for them, so they were all exhausted, and even though they were enjoying the crowd and performing for the crowd, I'd be willing to bet money that a) Moa was also thinking about food and wanting to eat b) Yui probably felt like eating a Tomato and c) Su wanted to take a nap lol That was a great reaction. Lastly you said you wanted more experimental stuff from Babymetal. You seem to like to do double features, which we all like too I think. So I'll give you probably their 2 most experimental songs, although they do have a lot, these 2 are in my opinion the most experimental. First one is a different version of the headbanger song you reacted to today. So search on YT for Babymetal Ava Maria. It should be an almost 10 minute long song. Second song is Babymetal - Tales of the Destinies (Tokyo Dome Live 2016) Eng Sub. Second song has heavy Dream Theatre influence in it. Great song Hope that helps you out a bit, lastly, in case you want to be able to tell the difference between the 2 dancers, Yui, the one who left, is the girl with the chubby cheeks, and tends to looks a little younger (my opinion anyhow), Moa is the one with the huge dimples in her cheeks when she smiles. Thats the easiest way to tell them apart if you have trouble.
