Yeah that happened to me

I was a special ed student. Although I went to a smaller school and was never really bullied for being special ed, this still really hit home for me. I just graduated high school back in June 2023 and had an amazing special ed teacher and I ended up friending her on Facebook as a way to stay in contact with her

RIP Carl Judie He was a great actor!

As someone with a learning disability I relate to this a lot, I was always called dumb my whole life so I gave up on my grades and my future. Junior year of high school I changed it all around. I spent hours studying and wasn’t afraid to reach out for extra help. I spent lots of time every week at one on one lessons with teachers and eventually I became a really great student. Just because you learn differently doesn’t mean you aren’t smart.

Dhar, you did a good job depicting learning disabilities and special Ed! I am in special Ed for behavioral things and there are also kids in there with learning difficulties, and for kids with different learning experiences, the classrooms are very similar to the way you portrayed them! It’s so nice to see an accurate portrayal of these things!

I'm having more problems than other people, I know what it feels like to be jealous, trying to hide your smile. It's just so hard for me to do work. The hard stuff that happens to me, I even said I wish I die. And having problem with anger.

I'm a Special Ed teacher...one of my biggest issues with General Ed teachers is when they call on students randomly to read out loud... I was a Special Ed student...I grew up thinking I wasn't smart...I am now a Special Ed teacher...I changed the narrative for myself and I'm doing the same for my students who are very smart despite their learning challenges.

I have severe ADHD, and I’m currently being tested for high functioning autism. I’m getting an IEP next year and at first I was upset about it but now I realize I just learn differently than everyone else. I’m not dumb.

I want to thank Dhar Mann for giving us such amazing entertainment and all the amazing actors we should all thank him because he teaches some kids to learn life lessons

My boyfriend has Asperger’s and had an IEP all throughout school. He was bullied in school, even though he’s smart. He took all IB courses and they were too easy for him to the point that he got bored. (Meanwhile my friends were struggling at my HS to keep up when they did full IB. I did half IB myself and went for an advanced diploma, and it was still demanding). My bf’s literally a genius. He’s a regional trivia winner and on track to going to Jeopardy and all that. He’s easily the smartest person I know. So no, special Ed, learning disabilities, being on the autism spectrum, etc. doesn’t indicate how “smart” you are or how successful you’ll be in life.

Both of the kid actors are so good that I almost got mad until I realized it was all acting.

Plot twist: Sean is a children to a drunk father who had accidentally crashed a car with Lewis. Lewis got a head injury so bad, which caused him to have learning disabilities as consequential trauma from the incident.

Rip Carl Judie at least he is in a better place now,he will always be remebered.

I was born in Russia when I was just 9 or 13 months old and was adopted. I moved to Texas a few weeks after being adopted. I started school later because I wasn’t able to talk until I was about 4 or 5 years old. But the schooling in Texas was really bad. They didn’t teach you anything. I moved to Wisconsin when I was 8 years old due to family on my moms side. I was starting 3rd grade and kept getting D’s and F’s on all assignments, tests, and quizzes. Teachers were noticing a huge problem in my leaning and thats when they thought it was best to put me in Special education due to the lack of knowledge I had from Texas schooling. I have been in special education for all my life and it has helped me grow into a smarter and better person. And now I’m moving onto College as I just graduated High school last week. I thought I would share this story to anyone who might of went through the same thing.

I felt bad for Lewis, but also for Sean because he didn't realise that Lewis was above him because Lewis is now a successful author and Sean is a janitor and said his business will never happen. That is not true at all; he can make that happen if he believes and listens to Lewis's advice. Lewis is amazing, and I would love to get one of his books one day; they are so inspiring. I'm glad Sean and Lewis became friends in the end.

Ugh...this hits hard. I'm dyslexic as well znd had a total stranger call me dangerous because of it. Not only that but I've always felt less intelligent because I read slower than a lot of my peers. This is an amazonf representation of it, and especially the importance and impact of a a great teacher.

I'm still shocked that Carl passed away rest in peace you will be missed😭

I agree any teacher that acts like that needs to not be a teacher. They have no business in the classroom. If that was my teacher you better believe we will have problems. I'm reporting that teacher and getting her fired or suspended. No way will I keep quiet. And for the kid he needed to get knocked out, teach him a lesson and make him learn respect.

I have learning disabilities so for certain classes I now go in a room called “The link” which is for people that are far behind on work/struggle with understanding and I love how kind the teacher is in there. Hes really helpful and its a nice quiet room to be in.

I know what he felt like. I have a learning disability/social anxiety. Some kids would point, "She's in special ed. Don't talk to her or hang out with her." I hated when kids would focus on my disability and not the person who I am. I did have few friends. Still hurts to see kids still go through this. No one is perfect. I've worked so hard that I bought my first house and I'm driving. Thank you for bringing this message out! We all just want to fit in. Not to be laughed at.

yeh you cant tell a kid that they don't belong in the class especially in front of everyone else I'm dyslexic and in hi-cap and my math teacher E-mailed me telling me to ask my parents to put me in gen-ed because the math was too hard it was really humiliating and nobody even saw it (i still did good in the class I wasn't failing or anything)

As an educator who works with special needs kids, I have to say that this is wonderful. That regular education teacher, though... she makes me sick.
