Gotta fix the Midfield but it depends how Southgate wants to play. England need to play Wharton in rice position and play Rice in the 8 like at Arsenal. Wharton has very high pass accuracy and does forward thinking passes. Rice passes side to side and long balls. If not gonna have possession stop playing Foden. Play fast proper wingers like Gordon or Eze

All u need to beat England is high press. Because whenever I seen England play they take tooo many touches, nobody does 1/2 touch passes they not comfy on the ball and loose possession when they get swarmed.

Yup. He stayed mostly up top last game, lack of service. When he played deeper to assist build up as he does for Bayern Munich, Foden impeded on him and Jude. You can’t really just slot in Foden centrally as a lot of morons are saying because Kane already operates there, what Kane needs is service up top because he’s clinical. Best in the world in that regard.

Feel like Benty goes under the radar on this channel. I really like listening to him, he makes some good points and was a decent player who scored over 100 PL goals which is more than can be said for some of the other ex players 🙄

Regarding the "pressing" problem, why is everyone ignoring what Southgate said after the Serbia game? He stated that when England went 1-0 up, he wanted the players to conserve energy! In fact, he was getting animated on the touchline because players were running around too much! The problem is that the majority of these players are used to playing a pressing game for their clubs and are probably not versed in how to not press and conserve energy but still provide adequate defensive solidity while maintaining an attacking threat. In other words, Southgate has not provided adequate tactical coaching to achieve this!

3-5-2 - Simple you can keep the ball longer, smaller connected triangles with more fluid movement. (Jude and Foden can both play in the center together). Harry will have a strike partner, more combination play to unbalance opponents. Pickford - Guehi, Stones, Walker - Mainoo, Foden, Bellingham, Palmer, Saka - Kane, Toney (We don't need natural wingers we need players that can keep the ball for long periods of time and can inter change.) You could even keep Rice and take out Toney and have Bellingham play off of Kane with Palmer and Foden pulling the strings. Mainoo can play as an 8 instead of a 6. Honestly. England are loaded with talent to play pretty much any formation. One last addendum: The mentality of the team overall is very weak. I haven't seen players relentless or with a the body language of a leader (That's the X factor)

😊 This is really funny, to be honest. Why? Coz, year after year, tournament after tournament, England fans and their deluded pundits alike manage to rate themselves very highly before each tournaments. Calling almost all their players [who are mostly average players by the way] world-class players! But it takes a tournament like this for some eyes to open. But some will still continue to look for reasons to justify the players poor showing, instead of realising the fact that they're not as great as portrayed!
