Wow! Not to bad of an install. Also the HP gain is insane. Now imagine a cam, headers plus larger throttle body. Very nice and simple, unlike other turbos with a lot fabrication.

Correction for you STS were not the first to come up with the idea of remote mount turbos. They may hold the patent for their version of it. But the original patent is held by Pininfarina, who originally built the system for the Pininfarina BMW

WITH the turbos being smaller theres less so called lag, I have no heat issues the fact im putting out close to the same whp as your Gt added to the fact im getting to that whp faster =My chevy wins. No disrespect to stangs lol.Anyways i have a conservative tune that can take another 150HP easy. Bill and Andys are By far the best around.for customer service and know how!! How loud is that thing! How much power can you get just cutting off the mufflers? what psi was the system at for the power run? how much was oil temp increased? Seriously how much louder and how much turbo noise is added by this conversion? What rpm did the boost kick in, was it in the same 3000-3500 range I've heard for other rear mount turbo setups?

when i started doin resaerch back in 07 (when i got my 97 lt1 trans am) the people who was gettin the lt1 single turbo systems sts system wasn't likin them. some said the didn't make enogh power like they should by the size of the turbo in the kit others said the kits was trash. have they updated since they?

How do you filter the air that gets pulled in by the turbo? A filter down there would get wet or dirty in no time.

I just got a 2013 camaro 2ss stock, and I'm planning on putting a turbo or a supercharger on it, could you please tell me what the diferentes are, the advantages of one over the other and the price difference please. Forced air comes three ways, a belt driven blower mounted on the top or side of a engine, a belt driven super charger the is a belt drive turbo, each boost at start up and run boost till they limit out, a turbo is ran off exhaust gas the faster you go the more boost till you limit out of over boost at low rpm you have little boost till rpm rises and the turbo speeds up, GM diesel uses a turbo with a blower on its 3 cyl. engines to get lower and upper boost a turbo will out boost a blower or super charger. The 88 Ford T- Bird ran a 18-20 psi boost on its turbo.

quick question did you guys upgrade any of the internals? i asked people before and they usually tell me to upgrade all the internals before installing a turbo..its crazy if you didn't.

actually, I've never seen this kind of turbo structure. turbo means that it compresses air and blow into engine for more power. so it means that turbo body should be installed under the hood. but in this video, turbo kit installed right front of muffler which is weird. virtually you shouldn't see turbine outside by eyes. it would be problem if moisture comes in. turbine is really sensitive on weather condition if it is exposed. it means it will be ruined. somebody should explain what's going on here.

i bet the lag is a lot more than an under the hood system. plus the overall psi being made is less because of the volume of the intercooler tubing. correct me if i'm wrong.

Yes & No... Yes if you are putting a turbo in a non performance car. No if you already have a performance car like this.

It's not as simple as a Yes or No. Depending on the boost you plan to put, you might have to change the pistons, the fuel pump, the valve, the spark plugs etc. However, if you are not planning to double the power you might be fine without doing extensive work in the engine.

It is actually set up just like a traditional turbo setup. The exhaust gases spool the turbo(s), which feed compressed air to the intake.

what happens when rain falls

170 hp.... Seems like it would've been easier and cheaper to go with a supercharger. Oh well....

These numbers could be easily achieved with a single turbo STS kit. About 2/3 the price of this kit.

Turbo timer is not required on any turbo, after you switch your engine off coolant still circulates around naturally, turbo timer is big fat scam.

We still list STS products on our website because the original owner of STS has resumed control of a lot of the assets of the company and is still able to provide turbo kits for a number of applications. If there is a particular kit you're interested in, let us know!

Why put such small turbos on a big CID motor and only 150whp added? I don't get it, why not put a single 6766 on and make 1000whp? Is the STS kit inexpensive? There website is not very good and has no specs or prices, but just by looking those turbos look pretty small, maybe even as small as a 25 frame turbo. I just don't see why anyone would choose this kit which must cost at least 5k, you could do so much more with a bigger single turbo?

2013 mustang GT500 will still smoke a camaro like a cuban cigar with 662 something hp with no tune that freaking insane btw props for the camaro that gained 150hp

Could of made more Power, if you would of put the turbos under the hood.
