Can I use the red top battery as my secondary battery in my trunk for a car amplifier. I understand the yellow is the most desired for this but I bought the red by accident.

In MX preload sets the race sag or the amount the bike settles under the weight of the rider. It also sets the center baseline for suspension movement. You definitely don't want to be topped out or slammed. This is why the Transporter got bent when they added another passenger. He'd set the car up for a certain weight of payload. If you weigh 230 and have a big passenger along you might have more preload then if you weigh 130 and drive alone mostly.

no. just no. these dont require a torch, the solder in these melt under a heat gun (thats what theyre designed to do) through the insulation plastic. they also heat under the heat of a high amperage, and engine heat. you'd have to be stupid to use these on engines.

What does "obs" mean ? Most of the 3 auto makers make a Stepside pickup. Chevy calls them a "STEPSIDES" .... Ford are "SPORTSIDES I`m not positive but I believe Dodge also calls them a "SPORTSIDE" . I `ve been on the internet for along time looking for a 1 piece Hard Painted Fiberglass Tonneau Cover for the 94-04 S10 Stepside and up pops the Fords and Dodge Sportside, but the Chevy Stepside are not available even though I`ve found a couple of USED ones but the sellers will NOT SHIP them! But I will not stop looking! Thanks Rod

Really liked the video. It's hard to find a good one that does this battery justice. My situation is: I just bought a boat and I was looking for a battery to power my trolling motor. A little bit of research showed that the yellow top CAN be used for marine use too! It's a fantastic little piece of information that can easily slip through the cracks. These batteries really ARE worth the money. Very impressive.

I'd like to see another review by them now that all these batteries are made in Mexico this video is made 10 years ago and he said he had his battery for at least 10 years so he's reviewing a battery that was made back around 2000 which is before the batteries started getting manufactured in Mexico from what I heard he's out in the batteries suck nowadays compared to back in the day.

Absolutely not. Use a good brass u shaped crimp that "cold welds" the cross section. Then cover the splice with RayChem. Stay far away from solder and these heat shrink connectors.

These things are junk. I know how to solder and although the concept seems great, they are NOT dependable. I tried a couple different ways and watched some videos. I used a heat gun and didn’t get good solder melt. Then I used my mini torch. The solder did a good melt. However once I cut the heat shrink off then gave it the “pull” test. The strands easily pulled apart. I feel the issue is the low heat solder melts and disperses but the wire strands don’t get hot enough to do a good bond to the solder. In order to get the strands hot enough the solder would be like water and run out and the heat wrap would burn up.
