    I know MTS, I get a lot of requests for the how to troll, I'm a Maja guy, It's just easy using his gear. It did look like a heavy push, but it's what I use lol. , and I would never let Maja touch me, I would have been dead in a minute lol.. Thanks man

    Thanks for the videos, super educational I’ve taken back some good knowledge here I started to switch over to penn 330gtis. The 330gti are easier to retrieve with the level winder And drive the boat. I also use leadcore on the spoons. The leadcore has less kinks, you drop 1 color for 6 feet. I need to figure out how not to lose stuff when trolling I’m out of Eaton’s neck…….btw awesome boat love the edge water Awesome channel. Thanks for sharing those Okumas might be best with the mojos and thag canyon bag looks bank better than how I carry now in a bucket lol.

    Thx D, I never used the lead core, always used wire. It's what I'm comfortable with. Eatons can get sketchy when you run that shallow water with wire lol.. be well Pal

    Great video, I have have some of my Grandfathers (I am 58) trolling rods and reels that we have cleaned up and used with wire for catching bluefish for shark bait. With that said, how much line are you letting out on the wire set up to get the spoon down say 40 feet? Thanks!

  • @markgarry2921

    @markgarry2921

    Thx Ep. 400’ of wire will drop the bait 40’. I buy the 300’ rolls of 50# wire (usually standard) and that will drop that spoon to 30’ With spoon on its 32-33’ ish. Rule of thumb is 1’ sink per 10’ of wire. Hope that makes sense 😜

    Thx Pete and yes definitely. These fish are on Bunker, a lot of the pre spawn fish will be shallow so you will use drift spoons and smaller casting baits but later they will be falling to spoons

    JizzWad here. Cap I have my trolling rods loaded with 30lb braid. Unfortunately our 3 mile line only sits over 40-45' of water. I feel like my mojos aren't falling back behind enough- instead they pull kinda close to the boat and down. Should we switch to mono so they drag back further or just continue to go lighter on the Mojo's?

    @@kidcochiese it’s not a 4/0h the h for the high speed? I got a regular 4/0 and was disappointed. Btw the penn 4/0h very inexpensive can score them for $40-50 online. I’ve switched to 330gti which is basically the 4/0h with a level winder and they use carbon parts which makes it lighter. Those can also be found for $65 online. The levelwindwr was important for me because I drive and troll and I take people out to fish that don’t know how to thumb the spool when reeling.

    @@DLeopoldi914 you need the 4/0 113 H (red side plates) the h has the faster gear ratio and older ones with chrome lined brass spools are the ones you want for wire line. Good used ones can be found on eBay or marketplace for 40-70. Made in USA ones are better than the Chinese made junk newer ones, imo
