Enjoy your time while Darcy is at pre-school. I made the same decision as a stay at home mom and just getting that break from each other made me a better mom because I was finally getting a break. My son also was better socialized when he started kindergarten! He gave up naps about 2 years old but I still put him in his room for "quiet time" and that worked great for me. He usually just played but often he did fall asleep. Love your knits and I'm glad you are getting away with friends for a fiber festival!

I have three thoughts/questions: 1. That tee made with that yarn is fantastic! You are correct in your statement that it is summer in a top. 2. What is Italian binding? That is a brand new term for me. Would you please demonstrate that one in a tutorial? 3. Enjoy your trip to the Flock Expo! I am excited to see what inspirations you come back with. I applaud you and hid friends for taking some “Mel, not Mom” time. My Dad always stressed that as something super important for us to make sure we don’t forget about ourselves. Our children are all in their 30’s now, and TRUST ME, this is a concept that you need to be mindful of all along the way.

I love your FO! The colors are beautiful. I’m excited for Flock also. I feel you on making sure to get garment quantities. I don’t have any expectations besides seeing Explorer Knits booth. I have some patterns in mind just so I can make sure I get the right weights and yardage. I need to sit down and go through my ideas so I’m not doing math calculations in the booths! 😅

Thanks! I do consider myself very lucky. In fact, I should be thanking Darcie for being a good napper. The existence of my channel has been very dependent on that. Haha.
