Love the video! I reduce the pressure regulator and lengthen the stitch. Most bubbles can be worked out with your finger as you are stitching. No walking foot. Also i stitch in the ditch to reinforce all the seams for string quilts. Love the curved edges. I may do that on all my quilts!

I'm a complete newcomer to sewing. I came to it because I needed some new potholders. In my ignorance I bound mine quite differently. It worked but I couldn't fathom out written instructions about the mitreing involved in going round the corners and now, having watched your tutorial I know what to do in future. Thank-you.

Just a tip I use: When you fold your pot holder, use a wonder clip or two opposite of where you are finishing your binding, that holds it in place for you so you won't have to fight with it.

I've made string pieced hot pads as bridal shower gifts after finding out what the bride's kitchen colors are and their favorite motif. Such as earth tones with fall leaves motif. Also I sew the strings directly on the backing and batting "sandwich" so it's pieced and quilted at once. Then it's cut to correct size and bound! Try it!
