Welcome to the A Quilting Life KZread channel!
A Quilting Life was founded in 2008 by Sherri McConnell when she started blogging about her quilting projects in order to keep track of all of the things she was making. Creating and sharing with the online quilting community led to many opportunities including publishing quilt patterns and books (A Quilting Life: Creating a Handmade Home, 2013; Fresh Family Traditions, 2014, Sunday Best Quilts, June 2019, co-authored with Corey Yoder). In 2015 Sherri and her daughter Chelsi began designing fabric for Moda Fabrics. Their 8th collection will ship to stores in September 2019.
This video channel will contain tutorial videos, tips and tricks videos, and how-to videos for quilters ranging in experience from the new beginner to more advanced quilters.
You won’t want to miss out on any of the upcoming content, so be sure to subscribe to the channel!

Everything is just beautiful, Sherri! Thanks for all the inspiration.
Thank you for this tutorial! It was very helpful!
This is a great project but there is too much talking before you even get started making the pouch (7+ minutes). Sorry but Stopped watching after 8 minutes.
I keep my patriotic items out all summer, starting at Memorial weekend through Labor Day weekend!
I loved everything you showed in this video. And I agree that the Stars in Summer will be 💯💯💯💯💯as a Christmas runner. And I hope you’ll show us if you do a Christmas one. Thank you, Sherri.
Thanks for this video. lovely table runner and pillows
Happy 4th of July, Sherrie. I love these projects. As a Michigander, I love the fact that you know the pronunciation of Mackinac Island. I love Minick and Simpson fabrics. I have leftover Belle Isle fabrics I could use in a summer tablerunner. Belle Isle is an island in the Detroit River. It is a gorgeous island. :-)
Beautiful projects! Happy 4th of July!
Are these patterns free? Pretty
Nope, and the discount doesn't work on it either

Do you put binding in your quilts
I loved your video on this bag. I so wished I would have seen this before I took a class on it. The applying the zipper on your video was so so much easier and the explanation and showing of how all zippers are not made the same way! I am going to make more of these bags! Thank you! I do wish there were more close up shots, but I just zoom in on the video. Thank you again for the great tutorial!!
I am so glad you shared Billy’s wedding. Congratulations to such a beautiful, beautiful couple. May God bless you with many, many years of happiness. I was on a road trip in Paradise MT, and stopped at a little quilt shop called Pixie Quilt Shop (unfortunately this little store has closed….but luckily a couple has since reopened it. Anyway. I walk in and what’s the first fabric line I see…Chelsea’s and a couple of patterns. I thought that was neat.
Great tutorial! Can you post a picture of the quilt hanging to see the whole thing? Thank you
Thank you 4 demo. I have not used this ruler yet. But i liked that you pointed out the diagonal seam line going across for alignment.
What a cute block, especially with your fabric. ❤
I had a bit of trouble with printing also. I have a 6-year old iPad Air and one that is slightly ver 1 year old - I tried several ways to get the pattern printed and finally hit in one that worked! Thank you - this is a great block - and I live flying geese!!!
Quilting has always been about utilising scraps and making practical things. A hobby, like many others. And no one cares much... until you convert it into a trendy business. And that changes everything. Now it's all about more, and quantity doesn't guarantee quality. More pressure - less joy. Some of us do not want such "success"
Thanks so much for the inspiration! Just started mine...have the strips cut and ready to begin. Your link to Bonnie Hunter and your tip sheet are extremely helpful! TYSM
